PU and UK fans are bitching about how we’re back on the bubble and how we shouldn’t be. I really hope we get in as they are obviously scared that we’ll make a run as we’re red hot heading into tourney time! This team is finally healthy and playing the way we expected them to all year. This team is hot at the right time of the year. I really hope IU makes it as I believe they can make a final four run!

I asked my Dad yesterday, "Dad, is there anyone who wants to play Indiana right now". A month ago the answer would have been yes.
I mean, I hope your dads reply was, “yes son, there are probably quite a few teams that would want to play Indiana right now. They are still just a pretty average team”

Average teams don't go 2-2 against top competition (barely losing the two games) and follow that up by blowing out two other B1G teams. The last six games have shown that IU isn't an average team anymore. Yes, they were pretty bad for awhile, but this isn't the same team. They have been playing very well for the last three weeks.

Maybe. I'm certainly not ready to say that we're poised to shock the world. So we should probably avoid any chest-thumping. If we get into the tournament -- and that's a big IF -- we'll be one of the last ones in.
But we're playing as well as we have all season. And I do think we can safely say that, assuming that continues, we'll be the best ~17-14 team in the tournament. But I'm not going to go any farther than that.

No, we're not playing well enough to beat anyone. We're playing better than we were in January and February.
There is a huge difference between saying a team CAN beat anyone and a team WILL beat anyone. IU beating any team it plays IS a POSSIBILITY: but it may not be a PROBABILITY.
LoL. I have two fathers. One of them is my Eternal Father who adopted me when I came to His Son for salvation. The second who is my Earthly Father who is a pretty cool guy. In fact my father and his three brothers all pitched baseball. The oldest was in the minor leagues before the War. He got hurt in Germany or on the way to there and it affected his fastball which was major league quality. Whenever baseball season comes along I always ask Dad about who he thinks is going to be very good.
We can beat anyone in the B1G playing like we have been. If I am at the top of the league I want to play Northwestern or Illinois. I don't want to play Indiana.

No dumbass, we didn't lose 13 in a row. With upsets and lower seeds winning more often, almost any team can make the Final 4. Anyone except Pee ewe can.

Who holds the trophy from our old football series with pUKe? Who has won 2 of the last 3 basketball games? Uh, I'll give you one guess before I ignore you.
OK, I might be able to go for that. After all, we've beaten Michigan State twice. We also beat Wisconsin. And we came pretty close to beating Purdue (some might even argue that we actually did and got hosed by the no-call).
And I'd definitely agree that any team in the conference would rather have Northwestern or Illinois right now. That's a no-brainer.
I just think saying we're "playing well enough to beat anyone right now" is going too far. And that's OK -- I'm just happy we (a) have a realistic chance of making the dance, and (b) are playing our best ball of the year at the time we're supposed to.
You know why we won’t play you at Assembly Hall. It’s not Cal. Your fans lost their minds the last time. Literally. I’m not going to be disrespectful on YOUR board but things got way out of hand the last time and we don’t need that. Maybe it will happen again some day..... it would be a good rivalry if everyone stays civil.
How many times has Kentucky been caught cheating over the years. Almost every coach that has stayed for a period of time. Kentucky's Shame. History tends to repeat itself
I have no idea what did or didn't happen with the fans. I'm not saying any particular allegation is true, untrue, exaggerated, or extrapolated. Because how would I know? I certainly don't doubt there were some charged interactions. That's not unusual in sports these days, sadly. And I'd guess that IU neither is immune to this nor has a monopoly on it. I'm sure there have been instances of Kentucky fans mistreating visiting fans, too.
That said, and whatever happened there, I really don't think it had much to do with Calipari's insistence on any potential series being at neutral sites. And I also don't think it had anything to do with him being afraid of playing IU at Assembly Hall every other year...that's absurd, for any number of reasons.
I would guess that it had far more to do with exposure and recruiting and all that.
