Only direct IU relevance is that the coaching carousel will be without one big domino which is good for continuity here, but this seems like a pretty big risk for USC. First time HC, players really wanted him, never really been a part of a championship program. Feels a lot like the Mike Davis hire at IU, no? Frankly, I don't think I'd trade CKW for Clay Helton just in looking at resumes.

Also, didn't see it discussed here but WTF is Illinois doing? A 2-year deal for Cubit? And at $1.2 million per? Why don't they just put "TREADING WATER" on the helmets?
