OT - Illinois & S Carolina

I hate to admit it because it's Illinois and Bert, but Illinois is pretty darn good and underrated. If not for that Minny game, they would have had a case for the playoff. Will be a tough game at home vs. them next year w/ Altmyer back.
We’ll have Illinois, at Iowa, then at Oregon. Talk about a tough stretch to start the B1G. Need to win 2/3.

I find myself rooting for ALL of the Big Ten teams this year. I typically never root for Big Ten teams as I simply don't buy into conference bromance. With the media's sensational SEC orgy, I'm prompted to root for the BT.

I forgot, I did root for Tennessee and would so again.

The media love fest with the sec is nothing new. I almost always root for the B1G out of conference. It’s just how I roll.

Bielema was right. He was pissed that SC didn’t surrender the kickoff which caused an injury to an Illinois player after signaling that they would surrender the KO. So that’s why he gave Beamer the same signal as if saying “ WTF happened to the surrender signal you gave?!?!”

Yeah, I'm curious too. Also, what's this about using the sub rule to his advantage? How does that work?
When the offense subs , the defense gets the right counter sub and the ref won’t allow the snap until the defense is done. So when SC subbed, Illinois subbed but took their time so the play clock wound down close to zero, throwing things off for SC.

In Illinois' defense, SC was subbing fairly late in the clock themselves. Beamer did it to himself. Beilema just took advantage of it.
