If anyone watched the Duke / Clemson game last night, they saw a team on the rise in Duke. I do believe that Clemson is overrated and this will show more as the season plays out. That said, Duke is the epitome of a basketball school. Even with a team on the rise and squaring off vs a top 10 team in a primetime slot, they were unable to fill the stands. However, I think they have a winning coach and he is the difference. I do not think Tom Allen is the answer and if he were to be fired, a new Tom Allen would replace him and the cycle and culture of losing would continue. In the past 28 seasons, IU has experienced 3 winning seasons. Duke has experienced 6. North Carolina football is ranked. The talk track of IU being a basketball school as an excuse for being bad year in year out is a lame one.
