OSU/Bama Rose, FSU/Oregon St. Sugar *

Whew . . .

I was worried about O$U losing another Rose Bowl, just like they've done I don't know how many times since the dawn of history.

At least Sugar will be a new bowl loss streak to start.

BTW, for all intents and purposes the Sugar Bowl will be a home game for Bama. They might as well play it in Tuscaloosa.

BTW2, isn't this the game that finally pits ol' Urban against the juggernaut that chased him out of the SEC? This might look like an SEC/BiG match up, but as far as the big picture goes it's really the SEC saying "OK big boy, you get your chance now . . . ".

TCU gets robbed...

OSU beat Minn by 7 and TCU beat them by 23. Dont think the committee wanted to have the argument of choosing TCU over Bay and OSU.

Roll Tide

I guess the refs swallowing their whistles on the punt return paid off for BIG.

Roll Tide

Delaney and Alvaraz are on the committee

No surprise O$U was getting in, as long as they looked good winning. And they looked very good.

OSU is 7-7 in Rose Bowls, having won the last 2 they

played in. Just the facts , right? But I digress. This year was not the year for OSU, next year was on paper anyway. Anything after last night is gravy.

Speaking of facts

"We ain't come to play SCHOOL"

At least the guy is honest.

Reply to Sope Creek.

The last time Ohio State played in the Rose Bowl it was in 2010 and they beat Oregon. The previous visit to the Rose Bowl was against #1 Arizona State and Ohio State won that one too.

Yeah, yeah, yeah . . .

I don't know how old you are, but there was a time when O$U and Meesheegun would win the Big10 for privilege of taking the conference's annual beating in the Rose Bowl . . . check particularly the span between 1969 and 1980 . . . I think the BiG had one win in that span and in all of those games the BiG's representative was either O$U or UM.

Those memories are still fresh for some of us . . . especially since the game immediately prior to that was IU's last trip to the Rose Bowl . . . .

What do you mean " Yeah, yeah, yeah . . ." ?

I am in my fifties and those days of the Big 2 losing the Rose Bowl are now a long time ago. Since the late eighties the Big10 hasn't fared so badly in the Rose Bowl so save your crap. Don't be hatin. That's juvenile.

OSU won a national title in '69

yeah they lost some bowl games but when you go to one every year that will happen. Doh! They still have played in more BCS bowl games than any other team and it aint even close. You dissin OSU makes no sense, but then again it makes perfect sense.

Sod off . . .

I'll hate where I want to hate. O$U has earned the disrespect and enmity of the BiG for decades.

Besides, the BiG hasn't fared so well in the Rose either. The occasional win doesn't mask, it proves, the BiG's mediocrity.

I see your true colors . . .

Scarlet and Grey . . .

. . . I see that Dayton address.

Re: Once again the SEC gets to play on SEC turf. *

SEC fans often claim that this doest't matter in bowl games as it's supposed to be a neutral site but of course it does. Even if they don't play in their home state just being from the south will get the fan support from other southern schools.

Re: OSU won a national title in '69

0-3 vs Alabama Woody met Bear once and after the 36-6 beating wanted no more

Re: 2-2 in the Sugar, winning the last 2 of those as well. nt.

0-3 vs the Tide including Bear's 36-6 beat down of Woody
