I'm in good standing with the new crew. If I lose my Mod powers it won't be their call.
on3 appears to have "teams" with message boards that include water coolers but they're subscription based. i don't see the business logic in allowing rivals, an acquired rivals, to have a similar outlet where you don't have to subscribe if they're both owned by the same entity
Rivals Main Board. You gotta pay but we should establish dominance there. It's also nearly unmoderated as far as I can tell. Also, more SEC guys so more, um, right leaning you could say. @JamieDimonsBalls and a few other IU guys float around. AS we've become a football school, it seems only natural to grab our rightful place.

You who are freebies are welcome there to discuss IU sports, but I would definitely pay Alec and Kyler to deliver IU content.

Hello Readers,
It has been a wild 24 hours filled with questions, anxiety, hope and doubt. As you all know we took over the Rivals site on April 1st from The Hoosier who is currently over at On3. When we first started there was a lot of doubt and rightfully so. You all have been jerked back and forth and not given the value of content you deserve. I knew we had to earn your trust. Yesterday's news was a shock to the system and understandably made you all go "Here We Go Again" like it was Pre-Cig IU Football.
Our staff has received some great messages on these boards from you all. They mean more than you know to everyone because we have worked our tails off for 13 years to get a shot at the big time. I really hope this merger is a new beginning instead of an absolutely devastating end.
So here is what I want to ask from you. If you could send On3 an email with a positive review for us to Support@on3.com I believe it could give us a chance to be the team that covers the Hoosiers after all this settles down. This is not a mandate, just a request from someone who wants to give you the IU coverage you deserve. We have really enjoyed the first 30 days.

It appears that Rivals only wants to or is only willing to have one site per team/school. It also sounds like that isn't being guaranteed to the current crew, that it's possible that they could pull the rug out from under Sammy and TJ and the crew after they've busted their asses to bring the quality of this site up to levels we haven't seen before (Lucy and kurt notwithstanding). Brad, I suggested he touch base with you just to get an idea of where he stood legally. That's why you were tagged on the Preemie.

Used "feel" as if your remark is more an emotional reaction rather than your usual well thought out position.
Having said that, it could be me who is emotionally attached to the Cooler,

The guys at Hoosier Illustrated are the On3 site managers. They were the group that left Coyle to start their own venture. They did so well with the coverage than On3 approached them to head up IU coverage.
I feel badly for the new guys here.
