Indiana is losing a s*** ton of production. The situation and solution is def not complicated.
Unless you’re guzzling crimson kool-aid… IU is on the precipice of what could be a very BAD season. The kind that can spiral a program, as we know… boy do we know.
But we all still love to believe (or, at this point, suspect) that IU is still an attractive, big-time program with the highest possible ceiling. One of the top brands in college basketball. Fans. Crazy atmosphere. Hoosier Nation. Bluish blood. Etc. Etc.
Welp. We’re gonna find out here. What this program is really made of. Because if Woody and his staff (and whatever NIL game IU has) can’t sell to this growing crowd of legit talent… oy.
I’ve been personally clinging to the notion that a 6th banner (or steady runs after it) is just around the corner if we… can… just… get… the… engine… to turn… but if a Ball State kid (who fills one of a dozen needs, but likely from the bench) turns out to be our top transfer… sigh. Might be time to truly reevaluate things… at least as it pertains to my own expectations and interest.
I checked out pretty hard during the tails of Archie ball… don’t think I even visited this site for about a year. And to face (at least) another half decade of relative, bumbling suck… the admin may just really be hopelessly incompetent and out-of-touch with how to get back to greatness. Your time, passion, interest and $, can’t help but feel its repeatedly being taken for granted. Or simply in the hands of buffoons.
Fool me five times…
Sometimes fans have to engage… by not engaging. A last resort. But maybe IT’S the thing that finallllly kicks the giant out of its endless slumber? Obviously someone in the admin measures all the data on this stuff. Revenue, tickets, merch sales, licensing… that stuff talks.
We are on the brink. Again.
Just land some damn difference-making talent!
