That's the price of success.Reports are that Buckeyes are interested in Shanahan. Hope he stays
Yes, to keep him, we'll need to increase his price. That's the price of success.
i figured OSU would have looked to promote Hartline.
i figured OSU would have looked to promote Hartline.
Kevin knows offense and oline. If Day keeps stringing him along they just might lose him too...
I wouldn't be at surprised to see Kevin Wilson back there as OC or perhaps even the OL Coach..
He’s already the co OC. Everyone in Columbus thinks this more than likely. He’s the highest paid position coach in the country, with the most loaded receiver room and best player in the country. Even if they hire someone from outside the program, he’s not leaving.i figured OSU would have looked to promote Hartline.
They need bothKevin knows offense and oline.
Did you say earlier that you went to both OSU and later IU?He’s already the co OC. Everyone in Columbus thinks this more than likely. He’s the highest paid position coach in the country, with the most loaded receiver room and best player in the country. Even if they hire someone from outside the program, he’s not leaving.
I doubt it’s Shanahan but if it is, would you blame him? Chip Kelly just signed a $6 Million contract with Vegas. The offense is loaded already. OL is set. RB room is very good. Sure you’re breaking in a new QB but the fact that they didn’t even entertain a portal QB and this year’s backup transferred speaks volumes of what they have in Sayin.
Well you can imagine my relief when considering that chop shop of an OL room they have over there! I’ll just ignore that the RT we have penciled in couldn’t crack the line up…. I like Bostad a ton and love what he has done/will do, but this train of thought doesn’t hold much water.I highly doubt Shanahan is interested in separating at this time from Bostad. $? Hell IU has that. OC's value LOS selfishly.
I grew up in Columbus (DeSales HS). I did my undergrad at Indiana and then grad school at OSU. In all fairness my company paid for grad school. My family, my wife and her family all OSU fans. My oldest brother played football at Wittenberg and my little brother wrestled at Cleveland St. One of my sisters went to Capital University and my youngest is a senior at OSU this year. They all have a post grad degrees from OSU. My wife did her undergrad at Miami and JD from OSU. I grew up a OSU fan and still cheer for them unless they are playing Indiana.Did you say earlier that you went to both OSU and later IU?
I thought I read that in one of your posts.
...except your argument is shallow for the simple fact BB wasn't the OL Coach in Columbus this past season...Well you can imagine my relief when considering that chop shop of an OL room they have over there! I’ll just ignore that the RT we have penciled in couldn’t crack the line up…. I like Bostad a ton and love what he has done/will do, but this train of thought doesn’t hold much water.
I still think we keep him though.
If you look at the highly successful teams over the years - Georgia, Alabama, OSU etc,,,, - especially after they win a NC, they all lose top assistants. And then they go after other schools' top coaches. It's - obviously - a great position to be in. Take a look at how many ex-Saban and Alabama assistants are now HCs at major CF programsIt’s obviously going to be never ending with him and Haines.i wonder sometimes if it wouldn’t be better to get it over with.
It’s going to happen eventually,I’m sure Cig has a list of names when it happens.
I highly doubt Shanahan is interested in separating at this time from Bostad. $? Hell IU has that. OC's value LOS selfishly.
If we do, somehow, keep both Haines and Shanahan for one more year...its yet another astonishing "win" for Cignetti. Ohio State lost BOTH their coordinators. Notre Dame lost one. Penn State lost one. The "transfer portal" isn't limited to players, it seems.
