Not Sustainable?

Let not overlook the fact that the Hoosier now have decent facilities. Lee Corso, Bill Mallory et al had to to recruit players with what appeared to be an unfinished stadium.
So true. The IU administration didn't begin supporting football until Greenspan. They were content putting all their eggs in the basketball basket.

It’s Us vs the World next weekend!
Nah, at this point, we're kinda like the 16 Cubs.

I've had so many people come up to me in Chicago as I'm wearing my IU hat now over the last few weeks saying they want us to win, it's incredible. Nobody ever said a word before.

Everyone but OSU and maybe some bubble teams wants us to beat OSU.

Regarding the topic of sustainability:

1. They say Coach Cig cannot sustain success based on a heavy transfer portal first class. The media frown upon this, constantly bring this up.
Meanwhile, the media darling, showman and Stephen A Smith’s coach of the century, PrimeTime Sanders, brought in 39 transfers this year. That’s on the heels of 53 transfers last season. Haven’t heard a single media person criticize the untouchable Coach Prime for this. He’s off limits.

2. Cig had to bring in this large portal class because most of the LEO crew bailed quickly. He’s not going to do that every year. We’ve had some mid season portal guys in 2024 who wanted more individual accolades than team accolades.

3. If anything, it makes the program more sustainable. This transfer class is the reason behind 10 wins and only ignites interest from bigger recruits in both the portal and high school ranks after this type of season. We’ve already seen it. We flipped the state player that was going to Louisville and held onto Baldwin.
