We lose this one and it's going to be difficult to salvage the season, hell it might already be done.

Iowa is good and they are a nightmare offensively for us. They have the best post player in the conference and he's surrounded by shooters. Wieskamp is a 6'7" dynamic wing and Fredrick is a classic pure shooter that kills us.

I think they'll beat us by double digits.

And that will be it. No tourney. Play again to get to host some NIT games.

Obviously if this team can't get energized to play Purdue, in front of that home crowd, with Knight in the building, on national TV surrounded by IU celebrities than yeah, who can this team get up for?

Awful.

Even if we win the next 4 of 5 are on the road. The season is likely not salvageable but i guess we will see. I fully expect iowa shoot about 15 of 30 from three. Garza will score like 32.

When we lose we just get obliterated most of the time. So many wire to wire ass kickings.

That's the other component I'm having a hard time with.

Other than Nebraska we haven't even been competitive in our losses.

Crimson Cast had a disheartening break down of Archie's first three years statistically in confetence...and that is we've pretty much been the same with no marked improvement. Our conference offensive and defensive efficiencies have pretty much been the same.

That's pretty damning.

I was expecting by year three and with the better length that defensively we'd be entering top 10/top 20 but we're basically the same.

Again it's pretty damning.

I think we have to get to 19 wins to even be eligible for a rose, which is why tomorrow's Iowa game is MAMMOTH.

So if you are anti Archie, tomorrow night is the game in my opinion to root against. I believe that will be the death ail for the season which is bleak already.

Have you seen the statistics on how many of Archie’s losses have been by double digits?

Lot of those numbers are skewed in our favor too this year because we are playing against the other teams walk ons and come back from down 30 to lose by 17. I just want to see effort. Rutgers guys are playing like their life depends on it. Some white kid just almost died sprinting into Wesson. Devonte, Justin, Rob, they don't seem to care to even sprint.

Iowa is very very good and a bad matchup for us. We will have to play our best game of the year to win imo.

I agree it's mammoth, but is it a must win? We got lectured on that a month ago so I'm not sure.

No but I can guess it's not pretty cuz I remember a lot of them.

To be fair I think his record is pretty good in close games but yeah, it hasn't been what I was expecting.

I understand a small rebuild and I understand a bad year (which is what I chalked up last year as).

No improvement in three years is something I have a hard time dismissing.

If IU does not go the postseason the new AD Decision will be mammoth
Regardless of whether the Hoosiers make it or not, the decision already is mammoth. Even more so is who ends up being the replacement for McRobbie. Those two hires will tell you how serious IU is about getting back to where they once were.
