As I talked about in the Romeo Langford ... thread, there are 4 key stats I look at in relation to how the team I'm rooting for performs. Let's take a look at tonight's game against Northwestern.

Formatted: FGA / effFG % / FTA / FT% (OR / TO)

IU 53 / 39.6 / 22 / 59.1 / (13 / 13)

NU 56 / 45.5 / 21 / 81.0 / (11 / 7)

The thing is, Northwestern didn't even have one of their better games. Part of that is attributed to our early defense (best intensity since UNC) but we don't sustain it.

Microcosm of our issues: Sanjay Lumpkin steals the ball from TB and takes it coast-to-coast for a massive dunk on Bryant, who doesn't hustle back on defense. Did you see Crean going nuts like he did on Devonte Green with the end-of-game alley-oop?

No accountability. It starts at the top and, unfortunately, it is non-existent.

I remember thinking at the time of the dunk, imagine if IU recruited a player named Sanjay Lumpkin and here he is humiliating us while wearing the purple and white. Who knew!
