No prediction threads anymore?

Road game in the B1G.
My heart says: IU 62 ILL 61
My conscience says: ILL 68 IU 60
Somebody from ILL probably has a career night

I'll say that IU continues playing hard-nosed defense and pick... IU 67 - UI 55

There's a clear path here to winning 4 straight games, and making the tourney. That's the scary part. .....at ILL at worst a toss-up, home v. Rutgers, then Northwestern and a rematch v. Iowa in the BTT...then a probable 3rd loss to PU if we get that far.

Illinois is not playing as well lately, and has no particular incentive to play their butts off. RP is feeling better, and DG played reasonably well last game, so we should be able to protect the ball. Only 8 TOs last game, but Wisconsin doesn't create many, so I'd expect 12 or so. But ILL makes their share of mistakes and doesn't shoot it all that well. IU should have a lot of incentive to play.

IU 70, Illinois 66

Providing no player averaging 3 minutes per game comes out of the woodwork for ILL to shoot lights out like Falzon from NW . . . IU should find a way to eek out a win tonight.

IU ticks quite a few of my statistical matchup boxes vs Illinois. Considered taking a big swing on IU taking the 2.5 points, but dialed it down a little bit due to silly superstition. I had a bad feeling about this game, until I looked at it a little closer. Now I think IU wins unless they throw a ton of bricks at the free throw line... which is not out of the question.

I’ll go with Hoosiers 67-52.

Defense travels.

I also think that all the intangibles lean IUs way in this one. This is the opposite of a trap game. An IU team playing for their collective NCAA lives against a team that really has nothing to play for.

I had 'em by 12... you were closest with a 15 point prediction. Congrats!
