So Fetterman has been mentioned in a lot of different threads, and I wanted to give anyone who were interested in finding out more about him the opportunity to see and judge for yourself. He seems to be a fairly polarizing figure on the board, and rather than having to choose which of the several threads to post this in I thought I'd start a thread where anyone interested can basically check out his past.

This is kind of the actual visualization of what I have read and learned about him, but I had no idea it existed till it showed up in my feed. Maybe I'm too easily impressed or maybe it's a fundamental difference between the qualities that Dems and Pubs respectively value in a public servant, but I came away more impressed than I already was.

Not only am I pretty sure he is the best man for PA, but I'm not sure there is a more genuine or dedicated candidate running in any other race. The fact that he gained a lot of popularity by fighting back against the Mastriano/Trump Big Lie nonsense in PA is an added bonus, but it's easy to see why a lot of folks in PA really like him and are excited to vote for him...

I wonder if there's a candidate running anywhere who is more genuinely concerned with making the lives of the people he represents better? My personal inclination is No...

Fetterman seems like a decent guy. In my opinion, though, Conor Lamb is more qualified and would have been a better candidate. Too bad he lost in the primary. Conventional candidates seem to be falling out of favor with the electorate, though, and relevant experience doesn't seem to matter much. In today's political environment it helps to be an "outsider," brazenly outspoken, flaky or even batshit crazy.

I liked Lamb, but he didn't excite anybody. And in this environment exciting Dem voters is a must because turnout is crucial. The polls were never close, and I wondered after Fetterman's stroke if voters would be scared off. But it was basically the opposite as Fetterman's voters turned out in droves...

Most people felt that Oz was the favorite. But Fetterman took advantage of the recount to pivot right into his general election campaign and did an incredible job of doing what the GOP seems so good at- defining the opposition and building up their negatives. Even when he was sidelined medically he and his staff have been at the top of their game., and Oz just can't recover...
