Anecdotal, but our Chairman, and most of our top execs all bolted from NYC to Miami in the last 3 years. Most even sold their NYC properties...did it for good.
There are reasons that cities vote more Democratic, chief among them, that in densely populated urban areas your actions and behavior have more externalities. Said externalities beget more laws and regulations, in other words, bigger government. Also, Urban areas tend to be younger.

He won reelection without opposition in May after sewing up the city’s business donor class, who often lean Republican, as well as the Dallas Police Association, the city’s police union.
