I would think IU can recover quickly with a good coaching hire. NIL and transfer portal can make you good immediately. It definitely helps you overcome bad recruiting. If Dolson gets the hire right, Hoosiers can be good/great immediately.

If you are too young to have ever witnessed the wonder years of IU basketball, please do not comment. Trust those that have. What Cignetti has done with football was the norm with basketball.

I am in the group that quit watching. I quit due to arrogance, absence of discipline, and what seemed like perhaps team apathy. I (and I bet all of the “quit watching” group”) will return and support whomever the new coach will be.
