National Guard to LA

Pete is a woke worthless do absolutely nothing talker. It’s shocking to me. He’s the stay at home virtue signaling take benefits and his salary after only being on the job a few months leave while the country was in a crisis. While his administration was telling truckers to sacrifice and work extra shifts.

Our let’s build racial equity into roads. He wants to do a better job of linking black neighborhoods with white. This a man who is as clueless as it gets. Whites left because they don’t want to be linked. They don’t want to be shot and carjacked and have schools that are a mess. They put in metrolink to the city and now it has a station 500 yards from the mall and destroyed the mall. Half the docket for that muni is crime charges from the mall. Fix the crime issues. Fix the conditions that create failing schools and gang culture and criminal activity THEN link up the neighborhoods. We don’t need a fast pass for the criminals to rob our neighborhoods and ruin our communities.

They pump more and more money into it and it does little.

My minion would love to ride the train a few blocks. Just between the west end and Clayton. Open drug use. Gambling. Thugs everywhere. Where are they going? Steal cars. Shoplift at the mall. When the girls want to be dropped off at the mall we drive to west county mall. 20 minutes away. Not the mall a mile from our house. Bc we live too close to the city. And now the shit from the city infiltrates our mall and makes it unsafe for our kids.

Pete doesn’t have a clue about anything. Work. Reality. Nothing.

A climate zealot with the electric bs. He wanted to expand the s. Ct and eliminate the electoral college. Explore “restorative” reparations.

Train derailments he didn’t bother to show up for. Mass air cancellations and air traffic control messes. A supply chain once in a generation disaster he was home breastfeeding for. Where was he on the Biden decline?

This is as worthless as a worker you will ever fine. Talk talk talk talk. Gets to the job and can’t do a Fing thing.

Man shouldn’t be a dog catcher in south bend. The definition of a worthless politician. I have voted Dem more than anything in my adult life. I will never vote for a progressive and anyone even tangentially related to this last whacked out woke administration is immediately disqualified
LOL. You're acting like desegregation is extreme woke.

LMAO you’re acting like it’s in a vacuum. Did you sleep through the progressive push? 🤣. It’s the dept of transportation. Keep the supply chains moving. Planes trains and autos safe and moving. Interjecting race is of course woke with that administration and that’s what he did

I can’t move into a black neighborhood. I’m accused of gentrifying it. I can’t leave a black neighborhood. Im accused of White flight.

Do you have any resources that indicate where I can live and when I can move there?
People leave these shithole urban cores to get away from blacks. They do so when their resources allow them to do so of their own volition. Connect the neighborhoods when the problems are fixed. If people leave organically don’t chase them with crime and shitty schools.

Dept of transportation. Not how can we interject race. That’s woke

There’s no such thing as a shitty school. Just shitty students.

About desegregaion.

Went to a dinner some 15 years ago featuring a nephew of Martin Luther King as the guest speaker. The audience of about hundred people consisted of mostly older black women with only about five of us being white.

The speech was a viewpoint I had never heard before or since.

King's nephew talked about a time before desegregation. A time when black families lived in a highly disciplined matriarchal society. A society far different from the one which exists today following desegregation. It was a society of black youths who were highly disciplined in their behavior. Misbehavior meant being whipped at school and then whipped again when they got home.

The audience loved his recalling a time when they were young and expressed a loud "amen" with each recollection.

As we were departing, the speaker and I met as we were getting our coats in the cloakroom. He said as he looked at me eye to eye, "You may not have agreed with my talk".

I smiled and responded, "You gave me allot to think about".

As long as you don't move to my neighborhood, I couldn't care less where you live.

Ha seriously? I have a few good buddies who live there lol
I'm kidding. It's a Chicago trope that probably plays especially well with North Shore brats.

It's too far from the city to be convenient. But I think they pushed back on a lot of the woke stuff in education, so that's a big plus. At least, that's what I hear from an IU buddy that moved out there.

Take your Prozac, let it kick in, and then respond.
My daughter was 4 with selective mutism, severe anxiety, and sensory integration issues. She would go to kindergarten and be a statue all day. Wouldn't play. Wouldn't even TALK.

But at home she was bright and bubbly. Reading novels at age 4. We'd have friends over for a play date and they's marvel "Mary can talk!"

We had to do something, though. Teachers were alarmed. School therapists were at a loss. She went on Prozac syrup for 6 months and then was weaned off it.

The bright and bubbly girl suddenly was that way in kindergarten.

Fast forward 25 years.

HS valedictorian
BS Summa Cum Laude, Columbia University
MA with Honors, Sciences Po (Political Science Institute of Paris)
working on her PhD

Thanks, Lilly.
Thanks, Prozac.

Congrats on your daughter’s achievements and overcoming. You have to be extremely proud.

My brother couldn’t beat it. His youngest daughter is brilliant but really struggling with anxiety and depression.

We were lucky that we found a therapist that wanted to try Prozac. It was never approved for her conditions, but depression and anxieties have similarities in brain processing issues. The amazing thing is that a few months of drug therapy along with encouragement totally rewired her brain in an amazingly productive way.

Millions of illegals came in prior to Obama and he deported more illegals. Yet no riots.

Point to where I give a pass to Biden. I'll wait. Why do you give a pass to this shitty leader?

You give a pass to Biden when you fail to note his policies were the cause of all of this.

Trump gets a pass because he has to deal with the mess and has to deal with two proven morons in Newsom and Bass (see handling of wildfires).

An embarrassed National Rifle Association says it totally forgot to do the one thing it has been saying for years it is solely there to do.

“Our whole reason for lobbying for looser gun laws and amassing huge personal arsenals of weapons these past years was so that we could ensure the security of a free state and protect the people from an oppressive government. And then it actually happened, and the whole rising up against a tyrannical government thing just totally slipped our minds, which is a little embarrassing,” a sheepish NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre said.

He said the morale around the NRA has been pretty low. “The guys feel pretty silly. We had our well regulated militia stocked up and ready to go, just waiting for the moment when the Government would turn on its own people. And then the government started shooting protesters and rolling tanks down the street, and we were like ‘guys this is the one we’ve been talking about, let’s go!’. But then something else came up and we forgot to do it. Damnit!”.

Observers were shocked that the NRA had missed their opportunity to defend their country. “I can’t believe it,” one analyst said. “It’s almost as if they weren’t worried about the government at all. It’s as if they were actually just scared of black people”.

:)

Illegals and criminals were arrested and deported in LA under Obama. Higher rate too. No riots.
You’re doing a good job demonstrating that these are ant-Trump riots by the coalition of losers who oppose him and have little to do with immigration policy.

Aloha,

What would be your thought process in deciding to carry out (or not) what you and perhaps even your commanding officer consider to be an unlawful order?

Oh man. Gavin Newsom isn’t messing around. He’s all in on attacking Trump and I love it. Democrats need to keep hammering this point. It’ll take the air out of Trump because it’ll all he’ll be able to talk about. And it would seem to be spot on.

Perhaps a Guard member being ordered by a POTUS, over a governor's objections, to suppress lawful protests by American Citizens, violating their First Amendment rights.
Governor's objections are irrelevant. Depends on what you mean by suppress. Nothing I've seen so far is unlawful and I seriously doubt anything unlawful is going to happen.

While the POTUS can generally federalize the National Guard, even over a governor's objection, there are specific legal limitations, to my non-lawyer understanding. He has to invoke the Insurrection Act, specifically 10 U.S. Code § 12406, which grants the President the power to call the National Guard into federal service in situations like open rebellion against the Union or to quell an armed insurrection.

Assisting law enforcement, including ICE actions, does not seem to qualify.

Also, as I understand it from merely a layman's perspective, the Posse Comitatus Act generally limits direct military involvement in law enforcement activities.

There are exceptions to the Posse Comitatus Act like supporting federal agents and protecting federal property. Don't know how they're being used yet, but I've heard those exceptions used as justification for mobilizing them.

Any NG member better be ready for the worst legal consequences if they disobey this order.

Yep - more and more Trump is proving Newsom to be correct. And he does have 3 1/2 years left on this term. He’s been losing it for awhile and it’s only getting worse.
