She likes going to games with me but she not the fanatic that I am….until this year.
I’m retired and I’m in a dead sleep at 7:30 this morning while she is getting ready for work.
She pokes me and asked me who Penn St plays this weekend we really need them to lose another game.
I said they play Purdue and she said well they wont be any help😂

A decade ago, my wife was a rabid IUBB fan and simply tolerated my IUFB fandom. She didn't really understand football.

Ten years later, she's as rabid and IUFB fan as she is IUBB.

It's not a story of jumping on a band wagon. It's been incremental and tied to her learning the game, really. (No. I did not teach her...I did answer questions when asked. But she really picked it up by herself.)

She's pretty damn fired up this year. lol

Yes,that is a possibility,I really can’t see the committee taking more than 3 Big Ten teams but who knows?
Right now 4 of the top 5 teams in the country are from the B1G. That won't remain static through the end of the season but it's not unrealistic to believe 4 B1G teams end up in the Top 10.

This underscores why the OSU game is so enormously important for IU. First, we control our own destiny. Win and we're in the B1G championship and the CFP. Lose close and we're still in good shape. We boost our SOS, don't plummet in the rankings and still, I believe, end up at the party.

She's even more of a keeper now!

My wife is from Cali and went to school at Fresno St before graduating from Texas A&M. She had no idea of the rivalry with that school up north. Now, every moronic driver "Probably has PU license plate". It just came naturally.

My wife and I went the three and a half hours drive each way for most of the home games and many road games for 30 years. She was so looking forward to this season. However, she became very ill in mid August and died Sept 11 without seeing a game. She and my brother who died in 2017 both would have loved this year.

That is really tough. I am sure she is looking down and smiling on this year.
