I wish you guys would quit talking about how we can win this game or that. IU had better take each game one at a time. Until they get that attitude they will not be a good team. IU has a liability in not having a good post player. Troy is as much of a liability as an asset. His game is mainly slam dunks and bad decisions. He has as much athletic ability as any but his game is one dimensional. The defense is atrocious on this team. Defense wins championships. Don't take any game on the remaining schedule as an automatic win. I see no gimmes. Can anyone on this team take a 12 or 15 pull up jumper?

Post play alone didn't cost us the game

Yogi was correct when he said we have to quit playing soft. When a 6'-3" player is driving against a 7' player, you can't just flip the ball up. You have to go strong, maybe draw contact, and put the ball in the basket. Yogi wasn't afraid to do it.

We got beat down the court on defense. Aren't we the ones that were supposed to run? Yogi ran back. In typical fashion, if Troy isn't scoring, he doesn't care about playing defense. Troy doesn't avoid fouls because he is an effective defender. He avoids fouls because he wants no part of contact. Crean can say we played hard, but he knows better. I credit RoJo for playing hurt, and Yogi for trying to set the example.

When Troy is taken away, or loses his focus and energy, we aren't a good team. Just hold on to the ball and we make up half the amount we lost by.

The PUke bigs didn't hurt us. We hurt ourselves. The only player that looks like they could play in the NBA right now is Yogi. The rest have to get a tougher mentality and play hard. The college season is short compared to the NBA.

I'm disappointed we didn't play better. And yes, we could not defend their big men. It should be added that Mackey Arena is a tough place for a visiting team and we should not forget that our Freshmen have not played in such a hostile environment. Turnovers were low, but so was our 3 point shooting. We split with OSU and perhaps we will split with PU. Visiting teams only win about 30% road games and it should not be a great surprise that we played poorly.

Go Hoosiers.

My opinion is this is a good team with a some really good players but it has a major weakness in the paint so the is a limit to to how good they can be as a team. I think life on the road is tough for them because their game is predicated on outside shooting. . I would not have expected them to win over MSU, OSU or PU on the road. I do not expect that they beat Maryland or Wisconsin on the road. I do expect them to hold serve at home. That's not a given but I want to see the full body of work of the season, who defects and if they solve the problem in the paint dilemma next year. IMO, if the current group of primary rotations players return and they add a big to mix then they will be really good next year.

Actually very few players in college today can hit the 10-15' pull up jumper. If Troy had a 10' he would hit on a consistent basis, that would make him almost unstoppable.

I don't think this team looks ahead at other games. I think they take them one at a time but at times don't play like they are interested.
