To be fair, I think her criticism is somewhat valid. The committee work... Unless you are the chairman... Is damn near useless. Particularly if you aren't on one of the few 'important' committees... Like Ways and Means, Armed Services, Appropriations....

And all REALLY big decisions are made in the Speaker's office unilaterally... And then members get a couple days to take or leave a bill.

The actual House committee meetings definitely meet the definition of a circus. If you don't like grandstanding on C-SPAN then they are a waste of time.

I'd have zero chance of being nominated and getting on the ticket. While I'm registered as a Republican, I've been vocal about not voting for several Republican candidates and have worked for a couple of Libertarian candidates at the state level over the last 20 years.
