Think Again: The Power of Knowing What You Don't Know

I don’t do a ton of reading but this book by Adam Grant literally is the reason I’m back in school. It gave me the courage to reconsider new ways I could finish my education. When I attempted college the first time around I didn’t know I had ADHD and was bi-polar. The damage of failure and not knowing why was enough to fear ever going back. This book made me”Rethink” how could I attempt going back to school but with a new attitude and new tools to help me be successful. It’s a great read for business or just self help.

Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow: A novel By Gabrielle Zevin

I quickly fell in love with the characters of this book. It’s a great story about two college friends who become creative partners developing video games. It came highly recommended by a friend who is a voracious reader and then I heard the author as a guest on Adam Grants podcast. Though I’m not a gamer and you don’t have to be to enjoy this book it became one of my favorite reads in quite awhile. I can’t recommend this book enough!
Loved, loved loved Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow. I have zero interest in video games but character development in this book was outstanding.

Watched both Hitman films. The 2007 version with Timothy Olyphant was bad but acceptable as a guilty pleasure movie. The 2015 version with Rupert Friend is an abomination.

Same with me, no interest in the video games but I fell in love with the characters. Took awhile to get the book out of my head. I actually couldn’t pick up another book for about two weeks. I was in a bit of withdrawal.

If you are a fan of NCIS or procedural dramas in general, you owe it to youself to catch up and watch the first season of NCIS: Origins. I won't go so far as to say it's must watch TV, but it's a damned solid show, especially if you like the original NCIS.

Where is the sister recommendation for the new Matlock?

@Brad. Tried to read Flauberts Parrot. Couldn’t get into it. I’ve made a conscious effort as I’ve gotten older to dump books I’m not into.

I did enjoy The Spy Who Came in from Cold though.

Flaubert’s Parrit takes effort at the beginning. It paid off for me.

You just reminded me I need to go back and read the rest of the Smiley books.

My friend directed a couple years of NCIS. Just spent some time with them and he’s got some good stories.

JT is so cringe I cannot stand it. Episode 2
You’ve got a mountain to climb but I’m on 10 and it is the real deal!!!!!! Craig and Paige. Shep and this Bahamian he wants to marry scamming. You’ve got a ways to go before it gets good but like always trust the process

Jt is the worst!!!

Just started watching Day of the Jackal series on Peacock with the Mrs. Into episode 3 and seems promising so far. Eddie Redmayne is good as always.

On my own I started Night Agent on Netflix. They’ve got me trapped. The first two episodes were very compelling and then the terrible acting and poor script uncovered itself. Problem is I want to see what happens but feels like low cost espionage porn.

Night Agent really is 24, but with Gibbs from NCIS. Instead of torturing the baddies, we will "aw shucks, it is my job" them. But I like it.

Speaking of 24, anyone watch the Pitt? A 12 hour shift at a Pittsburgh ER. We really like it.

Anyone watch Severence on Apple? I’m midway through season 1 and it’s really interesting
It’s great. Season 2, imo, has been even better than 1 so far. Stiller said he had The Office in mind & more comedy originally on his Hot Ones episode.

Haven’t watched Pitt yet, but 24 was my show. It became ridiculous but once you’re invested you have to keep watching. Back in the day my wife and I would watch it at the time of release. I would rush home from an evening shift and this was just before DVR’s were introduced. In fact I think DVD’s were a new technology. That was a good time in our lives. Technology makes you forgot how to appreciate certain things in life.
