More winning

Dead before the flood reaches his door, yes. Dead before the economic collapse caused by climate change, probably not.
Any analysis that shows a multi-decade, gradual rise in global surface temperature being an economic drag is theoretical.

Larger crop yields are a fact however.

So yesterday Trump said that the reprieve on electronics is temporary and that the tariffs would apply to those goods. This lack of consistency or any coherent policy is going to keep the markets in flux for the foreseeable future. They really are making all of this up as they go.

Sir, I must disagree with you. This is the finest exemplar of the Art of the Deal that the world has ever seen. THE WORLD DID NOT ANTICIPATE UNINTENDED CHAOS !! Genius. Pretend like you know what you are doing and then change course not once but twice, and then declaring victory BEFORE deciding to engage the world's second largest economy in a full scale trade war. ART OF THE DEAL

Actually, the only thing I did predict from this administration was chaos. Boy oh boy are they delivering.

I know Fareed's take has been linked. Later in that show, he had on Oren Cass. Cass is a chief proponent of the 10% tariff. He was relatively harsh on how the administration has handled this, saying we don't want chaos. He believes reciprocal tariffs should be gradual. This 0 to 60 to 0 (except for China) has been the wrong approach. Even the guy touting tariffs as long as anyone wasn't happy with the rollout. And he has long promoted "decoupling" the US from China and finds the speed of those tariffs off-putting.

Of course I agree this is ultimately in China's hands. If they just offer to let Trump build a half-dozen golf resorts, the tariffs will end.

The dude buys select name brand cheese and complains about its price, not realizing it comes from producer who produces the generic cheese.

It is for sure, but sadly, this has been the congressional norm for both sides for years and years and years--and nobody is going to put a stop to it. Wolves guarding the hen house--like term limits.
This isn’t the norm. Congress persons have to disclose these trades. I linked hers in another thread. Hers is very shady. Looked up those of others and I haven’t found any like hers.

Are you kidding me? This stuff has been going on forever. They have a certain time period in which they have to disclose their trades. She did pretty quickly. You can mark it down that others will have made trades in the same time period but will disclose later

That’s what people say, but they don’t provide evidence of it. There are people that believe AOC is worth $29 million or $22 million (there are two false memes out there about it) and the truth is her net worth is in the 5 figures at most. Their Financial Disclosure Reports are all available for the public to see. When a Congressman is actually a crook they are usually discovered like Menendez and many others. I’m sure some get away with it too.

I’m in no way defending AOC, by the way, I can think of few in Congress I dislike more. I’m in favor of criticizing/attacking politicians with the truth rather than lies.

I agree others may have bought at the dip too and made a mint when Trump paused the tariffs. E of them should be investigated for possible insider training.

This is the problem with this forum. Bloom isn’t smart, so that complicates things to begin with, but when you have posters who simply refuse to admit facts bc it hurts their side how do you debate, have discussions.

The impact of ARP on inflation is known. The border actions. So many things. Yet when posters say no. Not true. There’s no crt in schools. We literally had crazy and others post the curriculums how do you debate

Same with my side. We see it now with tariffs. With so many other issues.

There’s just too many dumb people too entrenched with their side on the board. It’s becoming not worthwhile
Enjoy rather than seeking to prove wrong.
Pity rather than humiliating.
Share your truth rather than poisoning his.

Assuming this becomes law (doubtful), would it pass muster in the courts? Maybe. I’ve always found Art 1, Sect 4 to be pretty ambiguous about the jurisdiction of election law.

The Times, Places and Manner of holding Elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each State by the Legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by Law make or alter such Regulations, except as to the Places of chusing Senators.
Probably moot. This won’t get 60 Votes in the Senate. But interesting question to ponder.
Doesn’t matter either way. There’s not enough voter fraud going on to make a difference. People who want to vote will get themselves properly registered and they will vote.

Provide evidence of stock buys from congressional representatives that sit on committees?

Look at autopilot investment app

You said there is no evidence that congressional representatives outside of MTG are buying with possible knowledge of government actions.

“That’s what people say but they don’t provide evidence of it”

There is an app dedicated to this stuff
What does it show you? Who’s doing insider trading? Does the SEC use it? I have more than enough apps.

Shows the buys once disclosed but not all disclose as fast as MTG. I am not sure what the legal time window is. I don’t have the app. I just see where people post info from autopilot with ticker symbol, buy range, and date of buy and date it was disclosed
