Tariffs will negatively impact the top 5 - 10% more than the average American. It's mostly the rich who are opposed to the tariffs so that should answer your question.
One interesting note, 10% might be sticking for all countries, which will generate some revenue. Trump's not a fiscal conservative, so we might get a big beautiful tax cut bill in the summer.
It’s not a country?
horrible woman
Crazy and hateful, and not sexy enough to offset it. Decent body with a face to protect it.horrible woman
Never heard that last phrase. Good one. Going to have to work it into a song.Crazy and hateful, and not sexy enough to offset it. Decent body with a face to protect it.

The other half of this.
Trump needs to stop listening to this guy. He's driving him off a cliff.
She's all yours. She's still a sexy woman @larsIU. @Bulk VanderHuge she'd tear your weak ass apart.
Yep probably some very sad guys on this board right now.
You have some really dumb takes on just about everything, which solidifies your spot as number two on the WC Dumb Poster list right behind dbm. No one will be sad if an actual good trade deal is achieved. No one.
I’m more concerned about bad trade deals being struck…and called good trade deals. You have some really dumb takes on just about everything, which solidifies your spot as number two on the WC Dumb Poster list right behind dbm. No one will be sad if an actual good trade deal is achieved. No one.

This UK “deal” is a good example. It leaves in place a 10% baseline tariff on the vast majority of British imports. It only lowers rates on a small handful of goods. It’s not even effective as a starting point. And Trumpers are running around like it’s some big victory.
Speaking selfishly the money means very little to me and my business. Now having a supply chain cluster fck the gov never accounted for in collecting tariffs is what scares meI’m more concerned about bad trade deals being struck…and called good trade deals.

Get ready for it.
Get ready for it.
China says there was no deal.
It’s a lack of understanding how our system works. But more likely he’s just blowing smokeLol.... Didn't he try this in 2020 only to get shot down? Why they think they'll have any more success this time?
He keeps saying he’s made deals. And then the other country says no, they haven’t. But people like you of course, believe him.
Shocker.China says there was no deal.
Do you mean in the sense that he’s attempting to implement pharmaceutical price controls by EO or that he’s attempting to do it at all? It’s a lack of understanding how our system works. But more likely he’s just blowing smoke
What's the deal consist of?
Do you mean in the sense that he’s attempting to implement pharmaceutical price controls by EO or that he’s attempting to do it at all?
This would never pass Congress - and thank God for that. And I say that not because I’m a big fan of the notoriously influential Pharmaceutical lobby. But because it would appear that some people who matter have a modicum of economic sense about them.
And I can’t see how this stays in place. I’m not even sure Trump cares if it does or not. If anything, he may be counting on it being struck down in the courts.
But it’s a good opportunity to educate people on why the government never does anything about drug prices…despite lots of politicians expressing outrage about them.
Drug prices are a huge problem. But the biggest reason they are is because we subsidize price-controlled monopsonies around the globe.
Has he even tried to issue any kind of substantive EO? As far as I can tell, the extent of executive action so far is a social media post that says "Prices down! Grrrrrr!!!!!!"Do you mean in the sense that he’s attempting to implement pharmaceutical price controls by EO or that he’s attempting to do it at all?

I will be interested to learn where the WH thinks he derives the power to do something like this.Has he even tried to issue any kind of substantive EO? As far as I can tell, the extent of executive action so far is a social media post that says "Prices down! Grrrrrr!!!!!!"
