• Indiana starts a season 4-0 for the eighth time in program history. The last 4-0 start came in 2020, with others in 2015, 1990, 1986, 1985, 1967 and 1910. IU started four other seasons with 3-0-1 records (1988, 1945, 1898, 1897).

Curt Cignetti is the only Indiana head coach to start his head coaching tenure with a 4-0 record.

• Indiana's 202 points through four games are the most in any four-game stretch in program history. The previous best was 183 points in 2015 (Week 11 through Bowl).

• The Hoosiers are the first FBS team to eclipse the 200-point mark in 2024.

• IU scored 50-plus points in multiple games in the same season for just the seventh time in program history.

•The six rushing touchdowns mark just the third time since at least 1996 that IU has scored six-or-more rushing touchdowns in multiple games in a single season.

• With just 256 yards of total offense allowed versus Charlotte, the 2024 defense is the first since at least 1996 to allow fewer than 300 yards of total offense in four straight games.

• Charted 500 total yards of offense for the second time this season (Western Illinois, 9/6). It is the first time since 2019 that Indiana logged 500-plus yards of offense in multiple games.

Yes today’s attendance was disappointing… but the product on the field is not Corso’s 1973 Hoosiers.

Maybe the pay check to pay check economy is having an affect (Two tickets is a tankful of gas).

This year’s schedule was intended to get a Tom Allen squad to a bowl game.

We may not have played “any one” yet. All in all, we have given everyone big boy beat downs.

We have not been embarrassed by a squad with MAC talent … but better team cohesion.

May CCC inspire the thorough “ass kicking” that those upstart Terps deserve.

Whatever the secret "sauce" is coaches need to spice it up this week as Maryland is coming to town this week. It would be great to see IU come out of the game 5-0.
The secret sauce would seem to be attention to detail 24 hrs 7 days a week. I was encouraged by the 2nd half shutout. Let’s shutout the Terps in the 2nd half too. (Both halves might seem greedy, but we’ll all take it).

So far, so good. We look like a respectable, well run program. I couldn't be happier w IU football right now.

I'm interested to see us play somebody "good" though.

Yea, we were getting gashed, but the staff identified the problem(s), adjustments were made, and we went on a 35-0 run. Awesome.

‘ 85 start consisted of home wins vs UL, then Navy. Then a huge upset at Mizzou, and a home blowout of Dennis Green’s NU Wildcats in what would be the last win of the season.

‘86 I believe was the same 4 teams as above with another win at Mizzou and a win in the rain in Evanston. Game 5 was a heartbreaker in B’ton vs OSU that IU led much of the game. A Cris Carter layout catch in the SE End Zone being the game winner. Jack Tuttle’s dad missed 2 makable FGs in the game due to Stoyanovich missing the game. The next week in the shit dome at Minnesota, IU led the entire way until a chip Lohmiller game winning FG at the end.

‘90 opened at UK in an IU blowout in Bill Curry’s first UK game. Then some MAC team, I think. Then an amazing 58 point performance at home vs Mizzou, followed by a 42-0 win at NU. Settled for a tying FG vs OSU after having a great start and then getting the game-winning Vaughn Dunbar touchdown called back, of course!! A disappointing loss followed to a not very good Minnesota team, again in the shit dome.
