Mo Creek stuck in Ukraine

Wow that’s scary. Didn’t have the cash to fly out ? That’s both depressing and confusing. Get out the credit card buy a one way tix to Dulles and get the hell out. Now he may have to hunker down and hope he isn’t being interrogated by Igor in a few days.

Shit is Cray. He might not of thought it was really going down until it was too late.

Not to be too political, but he listened to Putin instead of common sense. There’s a lot of that going around in certain circles of US politicians and US political media.
Or he just didn't listen to anything at all. Granted I dont live in Ukraine, but I didn't expect to scroll through twitter and watch Russian tanks running over civilian cars and planes bombing poor neighborhoods.

Did you think those 200k troops, armored vehicles, and rocket launchers were really just engaged in peaceful military exercises? It was just a matter of when. The how was pretty obvious.

Let’s put it this way. If you lived in Montana, and Canada amassed that level of military strength along the border, would you think something was imminent? Now, couple that with several governments announcing that an attack is, indeed, imminent.

I am too ignorant on this to keep commenting. I had no idea they had 200k troops at the border.

Really? Are you kidding me? Ever hear a news blurb on the radio or catch a teaser on TV?
They have been talking about it for what, like three weeks?!

The only thing I watch is sports and the history channel. Never listen to the radio.

Yeah it's not uncommon that professional athletes are not good with their personal finances. But if you don't even have a credit card to buy a flight out on short notice, maybe time to come home and look for another line of work that pays better. He's got enough name recognition and connections to find something.

Well, this will be on the History Channel someday. When it is, let’s Hope it’s reported from our point of view and in English, not Russian.
Well spoken, comrade. The state will see that your basic needs are met. You borscht rations should arrive within a few weeks and if not, patience is a virtue.

We don’t know his story. Ukrainians were going about life a day or two before the invasion because they didn’t believe it would happen. Where Mo was perhaps he was given bad info or the airport was either seized or he couldn’t get a flight out. Don’t jump to conclusions that he didn’t have the money. He’s in a foreign land at war and it’s probably chaotic and out of his hands.

Who needs the news when you have Ancient Aliens and the Curse of Oak Island?
Why even post politics anymore
Give mark and hickory what they want. 100% liberals only and no opposition. Dont even engage them. They can all tell each other how great biden is 24/7 every day of the week. It will be like a liberal boys club. Thats what they want anyway. Thats why the cencorship began on here they dont want another view.. Just go somewhere else but continue to talk bbal. That site is good for that at least.

I get it is akward to explain and even harder for a 20 something to understand but being caught in that kind of trap is not always dependent of financial planning. I was caught in Kiev the day the 100 were murdered. I had a ticket out on Lufthansa but every mode of linking transportation was stopped…no trains, no busses, no taxis, no cell phone access, no ATM possibility, bridges blocked…I had the money but not the connects. Probably, hopefully Mo has his team working for him. I ended up using a mishmash of personal and business connections to way overpay to get to Boryspil.
