They say it's an attempt "to restart communications"... Decoded that means: "we've clearly lost our audience and we're willing to do or say anything to attempt to stay on the air"...
Yeah - I went back and looked and there are some of those shoes on sale for insane amounts, but I’d bet those are fake accounts. I find it hard to believe anyone would spend tons of money on those things and until I’m proved wrong, I’ll firmly stand on that.
They’re definitely cheap shoes only idiots buy. If you look up some of the truly hard to find shoes - like the Tom Sachs Nike collaborations ( except the hideous brown ones) or OG Jordan 4s or 5s , you simply don’t find anyone selling them any close to market value. A lot of the Trump shoes are under half off their $200 original price

I'm big into shoes.
Trump shoes aren't close to a Louis Air force 1 or even some of the off whites or Travis Scott's. They're not on par with a chunky dunk, lobsters or grinches.
They knock off Jordan 1s with a horrible colorway.
I'd buy and wear another pair of pandas before I ever buy a pair of Trump shoes because they're that bad looking.
Mika is nowhere near as bright as her father was (Exhibit A: she married Joe) and Joe is phonier than a $3 bill... He was a phony Republican and now he's a phony Democrat...
Joe's all about Joe and no one else (much like his name sake who's currently destroying rugs and priceless furniture in the White House)...

The problem from my point of view is " the press" (various forms of the media) must be profitable to stay in business.
To be profitable they have to appeal to enough viewers and subscribers. In a politically divided country this often means telling one segment or the other what they want too hear or see which may not be the "fair and honest" approach as once taught in journalism class.
You did say former Republican Senator right. He may have been Republican at one time but now he is just a bitter old host of dying show on a dying network. Who thinks he is smarter than everyone else.
These days there seems like a lot of folks going around thinking they are smarter than everyone else.
What has happened to the smart guys who pretend to be dumb in order to take advantage of those who think they are smart? Oops, they may still be among us.
