I don't think Michigan fans would be thrilled if it happened, but I do believe Dane Fife would be both a realistic and excellent hire.

I don't see Billy Donovan taking the job unless he was offered Calipari type money. Brad Stevens isn't leaving the Celtics. I highly, highly doubt UM would wade into the mud for Rick Pitino. Other than that, there aren't any other realistic choices among the elite level head coaches.

Dane has hitched his wagon to Izzo at MSU as the coach in waiting when Izzo retires. If Izzo refuses to retire like Boeheim, Dane could be waiting a long time.
