Micah Shrewsberry is Angry....

Gonna be honest, I really like Shrews and at one point he was definitely on my radar for us (and still would be if he wasn't so early in at ND with the current results) However, that soundbite is a bit cringe worthy. Love the passion he showed, that's refreshing, but it was a bit misguided. I could see Micah walking some of that back, which would be fine IMO, but that's rough.

ND basketball, while obviously 2nd seat to football, more often than not has a pretty good and loyal following. JACC, when they're even decent, is usually mostly full and pretty energetic. Again, nothing like football, but their student section is usually good and engaged.

If I were him, I probably wouldn't be attacking a fan base that's been pretty patient and loyal throughout the years.

There's a 2.5-minute version of it floating around out there, and it's an embarrassing little meltdown. He tries to make it all about the kids and "don't give up on them" after saying he doesn't care what people think about him.

We all at some point say things we need to take it back. Most of us don't say it on the Air publicly.

That's Notre Dame lol lol lol

He'd be in the fn fetal here after a 3 game losing streak. Lol I'm telling you all 90% of the coaches in America can't take the heat of IU. The majority of the up and comers would make great assistants at a big school but need years of heat to take a big job.

problem for Schrews is that he just drew a line in the sand (much like Leal and Woody last spring).
If that incoming class next year doesn't turn it around fast, he might want to get in touch with a real estate agent.

Best of luck to the guy....we've got our own problems to worry about.

It’s not just the heat. People assume that up and comers will excel at IU because they have access to so much NIL for players. But, that is the exact opposite of the way that many of these coaches have built their programs, the culture surrounding it, and the types of players that are brought in.

As a program IU supposedly has an elite ceiling. But, IMHO, the floor is problematic. It’s a tough job, and there are a lot of programs that can be top 20 with a young up and comer without the risk, or the work involved.

Leal should specialize in college coach home sales.

Not only are the expectations at IU 10X what they are at ND, but the fanbase understands what they are looking at where ND fans are pretty casual. Tough to fool most IU grads.
