MI ran over xavier

The urgency Michigan played with compared to last year was noticeable, on both ends of the court. And their offense had beautiful movement and spacing. They got a good one in Ann Arbor.

when he played two 7'ers at the same time I focused on the lane .... the court was still spread and not the congestion you see from IU. Even on their pick and rolls, spacing was good to hit the open shooter where IU's pick and rolls a lot of times draws players to it were 4 are bundled together. I said last year when they hired May it will take IU decade(s) to recover. Maybe not with the transfer portal and a decent coach ... but May would have been terrific at IU.

Wolf is a 7 footer but not a back to the basket post player. He'd been a good perimeter shooter before he got to Michigan. He'd been struggling with that until last night.

I know. I watched a lot of his games last year and the announcer said he had been struggling prior to last night. Still, playing two bigs without a congested lane. IU can't do that when they play one big. The times they do spread the court like other teams, they stand and watch the guy with the ball waiting or hoping to get the ball to shoot.

Yeah, Goldin moves really well for a big guy too. He was letting fly from the arc as well.

The sad thing about that Michigan game ... I enjoyed watching them play ... I would have thought you would never hear those words out of my mouth about anything Michigan, in a million years. They don' have the "killer" shooter either from the 3 although Wolf was hot from three. They shot 22 of them and hit 11 ... still not bad.

Literally every game I watched over the past few days was really entertaining, save for one game. Easy guess as to which game that was.

Yes IU made a huge mistake. They striked out without even a swing. I really dont think we will see change. It’ll be some bum, same old same. Just another coach cause IU won’t go after nor pay the one needed.

Watching these other teams play that are ranked or the ones in the B1G that are not rank, shows the glaring differences between them and IU ... I have missed the three UCONN loses but basically those teams that win ... move the ball, move on offense and play pressure defense all the time not just for stretches in a game. To me the differences are glaring. That is not saying that IU will win their normal upsets this year, they will and we will feel that maybe just maybe they have figured it out ... only to fall flat on their faces soon after. Three years of consistency and this season so far ... their play and his coaching are consistent.

Somebody here or on X said it last night ... Woodson doesn't have that NBA 1st Round draft pick to bail him out this year ... that could mean trouble.
