Yes, we need some road graders on the OL & DL too. After Christmas we needs some linemen to protect him.

Why would Mendoza risk significant injury in a meaningless bowl game? He was sacked 41 times last year and left Cal because the staff couldn’t figure out how to protect. Look what happened to Penix when he found a new home with a competent coaching staff. We had guys stay, then portal. Why do you say he couldn't? Did they have to enter before his game?
I think he has character. Yeah, I was out of line a bit. Not ripping him as much as I thought I remembered him skipping the bowl. Just don't know who cares much about bowl eligible anymore. But he mentioned it.
I know our NIL is doing well but the issue is, I think most schools are doing much better than they had originally thought. Hence the reason contracts this off season so far have been double what they were last year. Therefore, to stay equally as competitive in the market, we needed to double the $ amount of our offers to players compared to what we made last year. Our tailgate friend is a past president of the I Association and told my son at the CFB playoff that Football NIL money is exploding , girls basketball is almost nothing and men's basketball is rapidly declining. Can't wait to see the finished roster.
Exactly, & Indiana answered the bell regarding NIL thus far. With Coach Cig at the helm, I suspect this will continue to be the case.I know our NIL is doing well but the issue is, I think most schools are doing much better than they had originally thought. I don't think he should've.Why would Mendoza risk significant injury in a meaningless bowl game? ...
As of today we are #25 in the transfer class rankings. Today was a big day. We need to keep looking for some big beef and speed where we find it.Exactly, & Indiana answered the bell regarding NIL thus far. With Coach Cig at the helm, I suspect this will continue to be the case.

Did we get a couple DT transfers? As of today we are #25 in the transfer class rankings. Today was a big day. We need to keep looking for some big beef and speed where we find it.
Yeah, I thought he looked pretty quick pulling it down and running. I’m hopeful we can upgrade the line and provide the protection to set up a monster power passing attack next season.Unsure...
My take is that the writer felt he Had to say Something negative about our guy since he chose us over GA...
The only thing close to "unorthodox" about his game is his willingness to pull the ball down and run if his receivers haven't gained any separation...
I see that as a strength rather than a weakness in the RPO Offense that we run...
2 DL transfers. They seem to both be more of a hybrid between DT and DE. It'll give us a good option for stopping the run when a team is one dimensional....Did we get a couple DT transfers?
Very impressive though considering he was just a sophomore this year. And we don’t know whether he’s even received good quarterback coaching. He should get it here and that’ll improve his pocket awareness and decision making immensely. Kid could end up being one of the best QB’s in the B1G, no doubt. I heard he’s already on the NFL’s radar, too.Was on reddit reading the Cal fans anger when he went into the portal. Some bizarre story going around that he convinced that guy that flipped to Oregon not to come to Cal. I doubt it.
Anyway someone said poor pocket awareness, that he runs well if he does get in the open but not a scrambler. Another answered that it's tough to have good pocket awareness when the pocket was always disappearing behind that line, lol.
Looks just right for Cigs style, to me. Tough to match Rourke but he could do it.

Add another group to the list of IU haters. Love it!I'm sure he has flaws, but much of the Cal chatter sounded like sour grapes. I can't blame them, the new reality though.
I don't doubt one reason he chose this staff is to get coached to be the best he can be. Seems like a smart guy.
Cal gave up 51 sacks this season. Hard to believe any QB would want to play there. For comparison sake, the Hoosiers gave up 29 sacks in 2021 and burned through Penix, Tuttle, McCauley, and Grant Gremel. in 2022, Bazelak absorbed like 39 sacks. Was on reddit reading the Cal fans anger when he went into the portal. Credit to @IndyResident16 for pointing out the number of sacks Mendoza took in a different thread.Cal gave up 51 sacks this season. Hard to believe any QB would want to play there. Mendoza is gonna have a heck of a season if Bostad can replace Katic and Wedig.
Not a Bulldog. What does “unorthodox” mean in this case?
I'm sure they mean how can a player pick IU over Georgia. To them it's inconceivable. Pride goeth before a fall. Not a Bulldog.
