Falcons need to replace Steven Jackson . . .
and with their new HC, the former DC for the Seahawks, the projections are that he'll want to run a more balanced offense than the pass-happy Falcons have displayed over the last few seasons, in part because it helps control the clock, and in part to rest what has proved a sieve of a defense. He's planning on running a zone blocking scheme on the edge, which requires a plant and one-cut back who then is off to the races . . .
. . . Falcons already have Devonta Freeman, who is a pretty good cut and go guy too . . . but I'm not sure that he's big enough to be a feature back like Seattle had with Lynch. Then again, I'm not sure that Tevin is durable enough to be a feature back, much less like Lynch.
