I like Mavericks as well. Luka and Kyrie are obviously awesome and their centers are extremely active. I wasn’t impressed with Boston when they played the Pacers. I thought we would be outclassed, but Pacers matched up well with them.
Haliburton got hurt and we still should have won games 3 & 4 playing Billy Hoyle.
Porzingis was out the whole series for the Celtics.
Tough to win championships when you don't play defense.

Have you ever watched Luka play? He’s phenomenal but there is no one who complains more than him. No one.

The difference will be Doncic and Kyrie. They’re both dogs. Tatum and Brown are great, but neither is elite. Tatum is still a little soft.
Will be interesting to see the first time Irving goes to the garden. They do not like him there.

Dude I watch wayyyyy too much NBA and it isn’t close in terms of “output” vs “whining.” Tatum thinks he’s achieved Jordan status and should get all the calls. He’s trash.
Luka is a whiner but he backs it up. Tatum is charmin soft and loses. He’ll lose again.
The matchup will come down to how well Jrue guards Kyrie. Or if they decide to put White on Kyrie and Jrue on Luka.
Mavs have a better bench. And I like that Celtics have home court advantage. Luka is at his best on the road.
You think? I’m not sure. Joe’s only 35 and is going to be a coach a long time. But maybe Kidd is better now.
Both Luka and Tatum are whiners and neither has won shit to this point. This series will put on of them on a higher level when it comes to "superstar" status.
Both are crazy good to say different is foolish, but again both are huge cry babies just not to the level of King Lebron. lol
All of this is fair, but at least Luka leads his team. White and Holiday are the leaders on their team - and their star isn’t. That speaks volumes.

I've been a Mavs fan since they started in 1980. My first games attended were in 1980-81 season when they played Bucks with Buckner, Moncrief, Lanier and the Celtics with Bird and company.
Luka is maybe the most unstoppable player in the league. Smaller version than the joker. The Mavs had top defense in the league after the trade but they have 20 year old kid who anchors the defense. Not to take away from Gafford and PJ who the national talking heads and announcers want to give credit to but Derrick Lively is a special player. Soemtimes I just watch him and his switching on defense is amazing. I think the national talking head are finally learning who DLII is. Who says tanking doesn't work.
But Geez, The Celts top 6 players including Grandpa Al Horford are all top notch defenders and 2 way players. I thought there was fairly thick line between Celts, Nuggets, and Philly before getting to next tier of teams. Embiid injury killed Philly even if he toughed it out and played. I think Mavs can take them but Celts should be a soiid favorite.
Mavs are deeper, more physical and will probably need to play a fast transition pace to wear the Celts down per game and in the series a s whole since their top 6 rotation players will log heavy minutes. If Boston defense forces Mavs in more half court game, even with KI and Luka, I am not sure that will bode well for Mavs.

I don't know why, but I thought they'd made the finals with Nowitzki. I would have bet money on it.
Luka leads because the ball is in his hands 80% of the time, he handles it more than Kyrie who I believe is listed as the PG. I'm not saying that is a bad thing, quite the contrary but it does lead one to see him as more the leader.
IMO Boston should win this especially if Porzigis is available but it should be a close series. I hardly ever watch the finals or conference finals mainly because of the teams playing. This season I liked or could tolerate all 4 so it has been fun to watch.
Luka likes beer more than Brett Kavanaugh. Most wonder how great he’d be if was ever in good shape.
