as Jimmy pointed out they need a scorer.. Proctor though high volume is still not a a go to scorer. At least not yet ..

Painter's offense requires lights out shooting, and they don't have that this year. I agree that they also don't have any playmakers, which certainly doesn't help matters. If the refs call things close on defense this year and prevent PU from getting away with what they can on defense, things could get really ugly.
I thought PU was a bunch of role players coming into the year, and they haven't proved me wrong yet.
How did Haarms look? Did he drag his defender to the floor then flop or prance in front of the student section?
Purdue doesn’t seem very good this year. I thought they would be top 25 last year before the season. Then they looked awful in the non con and I changed my prediction. They ended up making the elite 8. I felt the same way this year. However, I literally don’t see any scorers other than maybe Proctor. They might prove me wrong again, but they look like a bubble team to me.

the little bros at GBI are figuring out what we knew already...Carson and Cline carried their asses last year. They are seriously re-evaluating their season expectations this morning. Took 10 days to go from "CMP best coach in B1G" to "Fire Painter" again.

I've gone back and forth with her on their site and she seems like a decent lady who loves her kid. But that's a dangerous situation on a message board..when your kid plays poorly, it creates a toxic environment, and they are lighting up her son for not showing in last night's game. I think she's laying low today, which is smart.
Purdue plays physical grab and hold defense, and like to "draw" charging foul calls. If the refs call it close then Purdue's defense is not as effective with key players in foul trouble.
