Crisis averted. Even if San Fran had pulled off the upset, they would have to beat the winner of the BYU / St. Mary's game to steal a bid. Both BYU and St. Mary's are probably in the field anyway so the impact of USF beating Gonzaga was pretty negligible unless the Dons had another upset in them.
