Here's hoping for a season-opening win. We have lost our last five season openers with our last season-opening win against Memphis back in 2019. Granted, we have opened against some strong baseball programs of late, especially against strong SEC and ACC opponents.

Kraft is back for another season. He had a great summer in Northwoods League where he led the league with a 1.44 ERA and struck out 81 batters. Hopefully, that carries over to this season where we can have a shutdown closer waiting in the wings. He has done well at times as a middle reliever in games this past season also. We certainly have other pitchers that can fill that role, with the upcoming tournament giving us some indication of what to expect this season.
