Right. But again, it doesn't remove that it's fact. If we played with one arm, you may not want to hear about it but the fact remains. The team did great. 7 days ago with 13 minutes left vs. Michigan, our season was over. From that moment on, we had an amazing week. The loss stings but they looked absolutely gassed. That sucks but you couldn't miss it. Race couldn't even get off the floor for rebounds. It was brutal to watch.
Yep. F*ck excuses. Build the roster. Get better. Then you don’t have to play in Dayton and travel across the country.
Got beat by a better team….a much better team. Balanced, could shoot from anywhere they wanted. Every team in the tournament has players. We have 2-3 we expect to be on every night. If they aren’t, lights out.

Kopp and Stewart are like playing 5 on 3 every time. Complete useless to have out on the court for any period of time, let alone starting.

Exceptions that proved the rule. For the most part our shooting was atrocious this year. Very few times I’m tired legs. I do think fatigue affected our play tonight but our shooting was rarely better. But plenty of first 4 teams have made tourney runs. Fatigue is nothing but a poor excuse
You asked me when we could shoot, I provided you with an example of when we shot...then you gave an excuse. Amidst your excuse you babbled on about excuses don't count. You're talking out of both sides of your mouth.
Not sure if we will improve next season. I don’t see any outside shooters and we will lose most of our rebounding.
Agree. I like the guys we have coming in the next 2 years. Just need a few more.
Watching the games tonight, we not only need more shooters (duh) but we also need to get more athletic players. Guys that can play north south and finish. I'm tired if watching our guys get their lunch shoved down their throat every time they penetrate.
JHS and Gunn can both shoot better than our current guards sans Bates (among those who can actually generate offense). That’s an upgrade. Or should be.
The bigs will be a problem. But Woodson has to clean up the mess he was handed. We made the tourney. We ended near ten game losing streaks to PUke and Meatchicken.

I still think being cooped up all night in an airport and then an airplane courtesy of the NCAA must have had something to do with it too.

Tonight, one team looked sluggish, not alert, lacking energy, passive. The other team looked quick, alert, motivated, focused.
Care to guess which was which?
They played more games in the last week than NBA teams play. I’m sure the players thought they were good to go, but they weren’t. Tired legs tend to result in short and off center shots and IU had a ton of those.
Also I don’t see any evidence that you know good from bad coaching.
Next year is certainly a big unknown right now because 6-7 players could leave or 3 players could leave.
In the world of possibilities I chose to see that X could come back and be a more consistently good player with another year in the system. Geronimo could be a better rebounder than both Race and TJD and has shown some potential to be a better scorer than Race. Bates and Galloway I expect to be upgrades in the starting line up over Kopp and Stewart. The 5 is a question mark but there is certainly a possibility we are a better overall offensive team with similar defense minus the great rim protection that TJD provides.

So did UK. The early rounds of the tournament are as much mental as physical. Maybe more. Maybe as four is to one.
