We need like two more guys that can shoot. We need to put De'Ron and Morgan on opposite blocks and let Romeo either create something or give it to DD or Morgan.

The dribble drive absolutely needs guys who can hit from the perimeter.
It’s been obvious all season that offense is our main problem. Unfortunately, that issue has been combined with everything from a lack of effort to dealing with multiple injuries.
I wonder what the score would be if we could make a layup, dunk, or open three. The offensive system isn't the problem, it's the offensively-inept players. Archie's the right guy.
If this team could put up 70-80 points and play with this energy every night, I don't think they would lose very much.
least we're getting to see Haarms -- and his hair -- freak out. wish IU worked half has hard in games as that dude does on his hair...

Lol - 70-80 points? I don’t think IU could score 80 if the game went to triple overtime and they were playing a high school team. It’s like watching 5 guys who have never met one another before on offense.
I agree but if we had this kind of effort all year we wouldnt be in this position. Hate to say it but shame on Archie for not demanding it.
The whole game was excruciating. This is what it reminded me of on both sides:

In the first half should have had 11 more points with 4 missed layups and the terrible non 3 point play that DD should had Not trying to justify the offense but just look at a lot of college basketball and the offense is horrible. The UT Vandy game ended 5846 and two weeks ago NC St score 24 points/ Love the effort on the defensive end and how hard they played but they just have to find guys who can score the ball.
Well we did miss at least 6 easy shots within 5 feet of the basket.
At the start of the season the asseetion was that he may be able to post up and guard big guys when Morgan is out or when there is foul trouble with the big guys. He may not yet be ready to take on Smith's role and when Davis is playing more minutes, as well as McRoberts, I can see why he didn't play in this one.
If they were going to rush him back, it would be for his hometown game at Minny.
Totally agree. Our offense is pretty pathetic. We seriously lack shooters and we really get stagnant on offense during long stretches. Certainly loved the intensity and defense tonight tho. So that’s a breath of fresh air.
Scott Archie didn’t score a lot of points at Dayton, this is a fantasy like fantasizing that Crean would develop a defense
