Do any of you remember the constant battle that was Yogi vs. Ronnie Johnson? How many GBI turds incessantly told us that Ronnie was the better player. Do any of you remember the trolls from GBI pounding their chests that AJ Hammons scored 30 points "against" Cody Zeller? I put against in quotes because he actually didn't score a ton of those points against Cody. And, they lost by a ton that game. Three years in a row they have thought their team was an upper half of the conference and tournament team. Two of those years they've been absolute garbage and have missed the tournament. Well, this year looks like they aren't a ton better and their NCAA Tournament hopes are on life support.

The delusion is strong with that bunch. The super trolls like Twin, Arcb, old Heller and Methboy never stop with the pure comedy over there. All I can do is just sit back and laugh at them. It's awesome.

What was the score of last year's game?

It is certainly your right to "sit back and laugh at them." But maybe you should be a little bit more humble and not sink to the level you accuse posters that post on a Purdue board descend to.

Thanks, but it's rivalry week. No reason to be humble in this game. As someone posted earlier, they love to tout their head to head matchup, but after WWII, we have the advantage. They talk all kinds of crap. They deserve every bit of smack we talk back to them. Especially their super trolls Heller, Twin, Methboy and Arcb90210.

Rarely even look in over there anymore. That said, I believe the team is a good deal better than last year. That pipe cleaner thin pg they picked up is a much better point guard than I've seen there in a few years. At the 5, hard for anyone to argue how strong they are. Shooting is their kryptonite.

Regarding Purdue. If they miss tourney for 3rd straight season while paying Painter $2m+ per I will be extremely impressed how far their expectations have fallen to keep him around.

But, it's not like we've had anything to laugh about recently. So we've beaten up on some severely mediocre Purdue teams the last 3 years. Big deal. We've not accomplished a whole heck of a lot in any tournament of any kind in quite a few years. I want to win tonight because it will help our tournament chances and seeding if/when we get there. That's more important to me.

Vegas says Purdue fans will be pointing and laughing by 11:00 though, so enjoy.

That's fine. It's a tough road game in the B10 between rivals. Ultimately, I'll sit back and laugh at them when we're playing in the NCAA tourney and they're not. So losing one game isn't a huge deal to me, so I will enjoy regardless.

A loss tonight sits us at 15-6(5-3) with impending road games at Wisconsin and Maryland. Another injury or setback puts us squarely behind the 8-ball. We're in good shape as things stand right this very moment but things can change quickly. There are no locks beyond Wisconsin and probably Maryland.
