He needs to win the next 5 games.
They are 0-3 against solid teams and have only an 8-3 record with about 15 games against good teams remaining. In 2 of 3 years, he has only won 35-42% of those, so that would mean about 6-7 wins against good teams. Add the 8 wins they have now, and assume they beat all 5 bad teams remaining on the schedule....
That's 19-20 wins max. Looking at 20-11 as absolute best case scenario. Anything more would be considered significant improvement over the past.

I appreciate the stats but I’m not sure that there is much that needs to sink in. Do I find these stats surprising? No. The longer he is coach, the better the Miller era looks to me. Let that sink in.

But, they impressed me last night vs UNC, and that was a super entertaining game. UF was blowing them out at half and they said Hubert railed on UNC's toughness, and guess what? They responded. Looked like a different team in the 2nd half and they definitely knocked UF back, but they hung in there and eaked out the win. UF played hard and tough and still utilized modern basketball.
The one word that comes to my mind is -
PATHETIC!

DMWS (Dead Man Walking Season). The way this team looks, I don't see anyway he survives. He can have as many friends as he wants on the BOT and boosters, but the AD/Admin will ultimately demand some level of success, even if they define it by tix sold or fannies in seats. I think we're headed for monumentally low fan interest if this team doesn't start playing better.
My thought is, will he survive the season? I have a feeling if the L's pile up he's going to become even more agitated and questions and tension are only going to ratchet up. I think with his abrasiveness, he's due for a blow up with a reporter, which probably can be overcome, or on the bench with his, or opposing coaches, and not sure that can be, depending on the severity. Hiring an "IU guy" has now been tried, and it's a failure if that guy is not also a good coach.

best conference in basketball by far, destroyed the ACC in their challenge. what's changed is they care about basketball now. 20 years ago, UK and a few others where the only schools invested. everyone thinks would be easy to poach Beard from Ole Miss, I don't think so
I have a buddy that's a UF fan and alum and even with his success, he'd plateud and they were not sold on him. He may have liked Athens, but I don't think he's leaving UF if he has their support.
PS, checked, he played at Ole Miss.
The "real fans" would scold us for looking at those stats and forming a conclusion that was anything other than we aren't loyal.
