So why is he resigning (not on X)?
Ah sorry -- did a quick search and "Florida State missed the last three NCAA tournaments and has lost four games in a row this season to drop to 13-9 overall and 4-7 in ACC play"
I see what you're saying now. I thought at first you were suggesting him to replace Woodson. Don't follow FSU at all so didn't know their situation.
Yes, seems like the right thing to do especially at his age. Gotta say he's a good looking 76.

IU would accept Woodson's resignation in a minute if he actually gave them one.
Of course why would Woodson resign since he is owed money? Can he just resign and also get the money?
I'm sure he could work a deal. From rumors posted here, pretty much that exact offer was made to him after last season.
I'm sure IU would be more than willing to negotiate terms with Woodson to resign amicably. They don't want to publicly fire him unless they absolutely have too.
I just realized that Hamilton is 10 years older than Woody. He looks at least 10 years younger.
And, this has been the argument people throw out there about a guy like Bruce Pearl. Not saying he would come to IU but…they say “we’d be doing this again in 4 years.” Well, Hamilton and Larranaga and Boeheim are/were samples of guys coaching into their mid 70s. When we hired Cignetti, he said up front he wants to do this another 10 years.
