In case we were wondering why he resigned. Inexplicable coaching the last 3 minutes.
They played well for about 37-38 minutes, then just shit the bed hard. Woody is a .500 Big Ten coach: he is what he is. IU still doesn't have any guards that can get a shot in nut crunching time.
Unlike last two games, we play dumb at the end in a close one again.... Needed a better shot than what Mbako took there

Up 1 with 2:00 to play after Trey hit his three. Oregon closes game on 10-0 run. IU’s last five possessions included two turnovers by two senior guards and 0-3 on shots that weren’t good looks. Dumb basketball.

At the end of a very good defensive possession. Leal should have jumped Shelstead. But he was literally over 30 feet away.
Please hire a smart coach that’s proven he coaches his teams up, and wins more of these close games than he loses. As good as we played, overall, against a good team and some questionable officiating…it’s yet another fold at the end.

Now all the kool aid IU fans the last week or so who were so rah rah rah and take that medicine. It's so predictable with this coach. He just couldnt win this big game tonight. Anyone who has been paying attention saw this.
Woody gave it his best shot. He considers it a good loss.

the last 3 or 4 weeks this team has been fun to watch and root for. Woodson is gone, Ill watch until the last game, then hope they hire the right coach

Gotta be fair on this one. He didn’t start blowing it until about 1:30 or so to go. After they hit that trash 3…we fell apart.
You have to remember, we were missing Xavier tonight. With him, we win by double digits.

Miss that shot, get the rebound and game possibly ends in our favor. I think Oregon was a little quicker than us. I don’t want to play them again in the BTT. They seemed to have the upper hand on us most of the night. A foreshadowing of how things would go at the foul line occurred early when Reneau missed two in a row, later three. Even Myles Rice short-armed his second one. He’s usually money at the line. Goode did not have a good game. We couldn’t even close out the first half on top. As good as Gallo can be at times, he invariably makes bone-headed passes at the worst times. It was another frustrating loss in another frustrating season. I’m ready for it to be over so we can name another new coach.
I’m ready to see Indianas name again on selection Sunday. That shot doesn’t fall, and Woody somehow figures out how to close it out…and we’d have probably been a lock.
Now I think we might need to win our next two, to be “safe”.

ARK’s wins are pretty good—MIZ, UGA, UK, TEX twice and MICH, now add VAN. I think they’re in fairly decent shape.
If IND beats OSU and wins one game in Indy, we avoid Dayton. I think beating OSU gives us a 65/35 chance of being no worse than Dayton.

I wasn’t one of them (picked ORE by 8). Running the table was never happening.
Beating OSU is plausible—after all they were dumb enough to lose to us at home. Royal didn’t play, so that may be an equalizer for them.
I was reading about Woodson winning it all and getting another year.
