It's funny how you people say "we"....and then talk shit about the team incessantly...lol. There is no "we"....you don't play, coach, or even cheerlead(although I suspect that is the role that would fit most of you best, logistically). "Everyone knew"....lol...such a cop out. You are bitching because a lead dwindled while subs were on the floor. Subs have to play. I saw Knight play an entire 5 of backups, because he didn't like how the starters played, and IU lost. Here, IU didn't lose, and yet you still complain...but probably didn't think twice when it happened then. You are all nothing but a joke. Especially, when it's easy for anyone with a brain to see, that the only dwindled because 1 guy was making some stupid difficult shots, rather than anything IU was doing that was detrimental. It's likely that lead would have dwindled, regardless of who was on the floor because of the amount of ridiculously difficult shots Bailey was making. And you "watched the game"?....pshhh...do better.
Many of us have been active fans and supporters of IU basketball since the successful RMK days. We're still here discussing, yes complaining, but mostly caring about a program that has made 5 successive bad head coaching decisions, after completely fumbling the end of their own coaching Icon's time at their school. WE have earned the right to type WE.

You have every right to see the good in our current program…or to just focus on that on this board…or whatever you're doing. But it's getting tiring correcting your mistakes when you're doing so. It comes across like blind faith. To each their own. But I REALLY hope the blind faith that had been driving the IU bball decision makers, is gone soon. WE need for it to be.

You can go to hell. This “we” has done more to support IU than you will in five lifetimes.

Why even try to be polite to the Woodson ass kisser? He just joined in April 24 and it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s a Woodson mole.

He had more than two strikes against him and the next one he will be gone permanently.

He's already gotten the boot before. He's like a case of the Herp.

No..you haven't. You don't play, coach, or mannage. You have 0 influence...you saying "we" is because you want to belong to something...but you don't. It's not a matter of opinion..it's simple fact.

Trying to take it down a notch and really want to understand your position. Are you an unequivocal supporter of Woodson specifically or would you simply back anyone that is the IU coach? Is there anything Woodson could do to make you want the move on?

NAre you, or were you ever, in any way, part of the basketball team?. ...No. Therefore there is also no "we" for you.
‘We’ has been ‘fan-speak’ forever… It’s lampooned in Dr. Pepper commercials … I catch myself correcting we to IU almost daily… it’s not a sin … just imprecise use of pronouns … and perhaps excess emotional investment from the writer. Fan posts aren’t really expected to follow precise journalistic standards, are they?

We aren’t directly a part of the team, obviously. But we are apart if “Indiana Basketball”. It’s not technically accurate, usually, to use “we” when talking about many of the topics on this board. But it’s harmless, and we are all invested in the program. I personally go through phases of “we” vs “they”. But I can’t think of a reason for that. In the end…none of us need someone like Lifelong telling us who and what we are. Especially since we’ve been here posting about IU basketball, in some cases since the beginning of this page, well more than 20 years ago.

Indeed

He seems to struggle with quick athletic teams. He will still provide some good minutes this year
not sure he will have much of a role if Malik and Ballo get and stay healthy. quickness definitely not a strong suit. will never cause any trouble is a good teammate and pushes Ballo in practice, hopefully will become more productive as the season unfolds

WE played well yesterday.

An easier retort to those that are triggered by the use of WE is,
“Lighten up Francis”. But, I suspect it’s not worth the effort.
