It is simply amazing to me how poor his bbal iq is. For the couple of minutes he was in he throws a pass to I think Geronimo way in the corner where he can do nothing but get boxed in. I think it may have gone out of bounds anyway. Then he drives in and dribbles it off his foot but it somehow goes off a Wisconsin guy so we keep it. Boy I sure hope JHS is ready to be a point guard from day one cause Lander is just wow almost looking like divison three.

that TO in the corner between Lander and JG....felt like I was watching one of my son's in house 5th grade rec games from yrs ago.
Watching Wisconsin makes it even more frusturation none of those guys have real pure physical talent other than Davis. They are one player and a bunch of role players and they school us every time. We are always more athletic and it never ever matters.

caveat- I am still rooting for this kid to succeed at IU.

That said...did you see how the Wisky guards went right at his ass the moment he came in? It's in the pregame crib notes...if he comes in the game, get the ball to the guy he's on, and take him straight to the hole. Guaranteed foul. Over and over.
I am too. Seems like a great kid and great teammate. But dear Lord he’s not a D1 player at all

But he doesn't need to shoot to be a plus, he is fast as hell, handles, and can break presses down, all his job needs to be is push tempo to TJD or anybody and pass it when you get there. I think the problem is that his role has never been clearly explained to him. He's not a great shooter, I'm sure he knows that, but somebody needs to tell him what they expect him to do. I don't think he's washed up yet, just a change of outlook on his role and somebody tell him what they want, I think this is why Rob suffered too, correct it

I remember hearing that when Archie came to Reitz to discuss the prospect of KL reclassifying, he insisted that Mike Adams be excluded from the meeting.

No.

Lander was not ready w,hen they recruited him. He got bad advice. I"m pulling for him also. He is really in his head right now.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong, but it seems like he's just throwing shade at Woodson for playing Lander despite these kinds of screwups. I didn't take it as a slight at Chicago-bound Hoosier (or his son).
That’s how I took it. I coached my sons in various sports, and trust me, I had no problem pulling their asses out of games when they deserved it. Probably more so than the other kids.

Wow. Not what I would have expected. But why not? Kid gets a reset and gets to play for a HOF coach. Might even get a lapdance. It's all good.
I was surprised to hear it too, but if he gets the reset and lapdance....
