In addition to Rivals coverage our friends at Hoosier Huddle do a nice pregame write-up. Here's their take on O$U.

They aren’t really small up the middle, as was suggested previously. DTs are 295 and LBs are 240 and 230 … same as IU … and same as Indy Colts. IU is starting a RS FR v. an All BiG hopeful DE … this could be the key matchup for IUs success. Good thing Carter Smith wrestled… he’ll need all the leverage he can get.

I expect IU will seek to run behind Bedford at RT. Bedford had a reasonable start v. what turned out to be a crack Illini DL

That said a new OSU LT is matched against an experienced All BiG hopeful DE. The LT that plays the best could determine the outcome.

The new OSU RT faces three edge rushers (Jackson, Carr, and Jones) who will be kept fresh and attack with their own techniques. Last year, Aaron Casey would fill in with a speed rush a few times a game,

It would be unfair to classify the first year under defensive coordinator Jim Knowles as a failure. Ohio State was not bad at all on defense. It would be accurate though to say that 2022 was underwhelming for Knowles’ side of the ball, particularly how they performed in the annual showdown against Michigan. In total, OSU allowed 21 points per game and 5.18 yards per play. That was a slight improvement over the 2021 season but Buckeye fans will be expecting a step forward in 2023. Ohio State returns star defensive end JT Tuimoloau along with Michael Hall Jr. and Jack Sawyer up front. The linebackers are terrific with Tommy Eichenberg and Steele Chambers back. The biggest question is probably at cornerback.

Indiana’s offense is full of unknowns. It is unclear who will start and play at quarterback, how the Hoosiers will utilize Jaylin Lucas and how IU’s offensive line will look under new position coach Bob Bostad. Ohio State will undoubtedly be looking to make a statement on national television in the opener after ending the 2022 season with back-to-back losses and poor defensive showings against Michigan and Georgia. Can IU’s new offense make a dent against the Buckeyes defense?

When a team scores as often and as fast as OSU does the opponents get some extra possessions too.

This will come down to which OL is better, if IU does a good job on OSU's DL making the frustrated that would go a long way to cause and upset win for IU. A good mix of running plays, some with Lucas making OSU defenders look foolish will go a long way to having a good running game this week. If our QB throws the ball well and can run when needed, the money is off on this game as IU will be competitive if they can do these things. If you add in our DL frustrating the OSU offense then IU would be having a great day.

In a most excellent example of coachspeak Ryan Day praises the Hoosiers for being very well coached.
And cites recent moral victories where the Hoosiers took it to the Bucks. No bulletin board material.

Elsewhere O$U writers say the Bucks will truck the Hoosiers
Since both are going to get their opportunities in game one, I fully expect both quarterbacks to throw touchdown passes.
[TreVeyon] Henderson … could hit 200 yards plus by the end of the game.

Bucks get six sacks

Fansided didn’t cover IUFB since reporting Jackson’s transfer in Jan.

anyone know a good witchdoctor/voodoo priest? Someone needs to lift the IU curse and put it onto this scum Ohsht program! Like that curse the Nuggets put on the Pacers with that witch back in the ABA days! IU should bring in Dancin Harry!
