My first thought is that they look very impressive today.
My second thought is that cheating = success. Does any other DI school have more violations pending against them? Or were they all just dropped?

What *are* the rules anymore, anyway? And do the marquee programs even give a rip about what the NCAA pronounces?
Why would the NCAA care about something that happened in the past now that they are out of the enforcement business?

Either way, IU will be fine, and should be able to do well now that it’s legal to buy players. With our boosters we should be able to buy some good teams.

hopefully this wild Wild West won’t last too long, and we can just get to the point where there is a salary cap.

They aren't dropped. The NCAA is glacially slow on the penalty phase, but I wouldn't be surprised if KU's record in this tournament ends up being declared null and void like Louisville's was a few years ago.

I have no idea if anything will come of the allegations against Kansas or not, but the fact that it is taking so long isn't necessarily an indication that nothing will happen. In cases against schools/programs where there are either criminal or civil charges pending, it can take a substantial amount of time for the NCAA to get access to important documents or witnesses. They often have to wait for evidence and statements to be released by prosecutors or the courts before they have all they need to validate the allegations and hand down punishment. Serious infractions charges can take a while, especially if the schools are playing the "we won't cooperate" game.

I'll be cheering for Nova. I'm still old-school enough to enjoy watching programs that teach players to play off two-feet and it makes me feel good to see teams like that still enjoy success.
Nova is the 4th best team left.

Dollar Bill $elf's voice on the FBI wire tap meant nothing it seems. Cheaters really do prosper.

Not more violations, but far more pervasive......................UNC.

nope, KU is next up. This is Self’s last rodeo. Dude is just lucky the FBI wiretap failed or he’d be in federal prison right now, the texts are enough for a two year show cause. Unlike NC State, KU fought the NCAA the whole way.

the Jayhawks we’re put on probation for major recruiting violations the year after 2 of their 3 national championships. Wouldnt shock me if they went 3 for 4.

Is the NCAA really "out of the enforcement business"?

Technically, no. But they’ve had their wings clipped. And, their power will continue erode.

"We're not enforcing NIL deals, and we're not enforcing the interim policy, which is largely permissive," NCAA Vice President of Enforcement Jon Duncan told The Associated Press.

That and the fact that their compliance staff is like Andy and Barney trying to police NYC. Just too many schools to police vs. available staff.

Depends on the school they will hit lower schools or maybe even a Memphis but a school like Kansas or North Carolina forget it. Those schools can do whatever they want.
Nonsense. Obviously, many here have short memories - or don't care about cheating. Many top level football and basketball programs have been given major penalties for infractions. Kentucky, Florida State, Ohio State, USC, Auburn, Louisville, Alabama, Miami, Florida, Georgia, and SMU (death penalty after being a top football program for several years) and others come to mind without looking it up. Fricking Louisville had their latest championship declared void and they're waiting on the hammer coming from the shoe scandal now. It's most likely why their basketball recruiting has been bad the last couple years and why several of their players are transferring.

Which is why I prefer to watch High School ballgames. My fav's are watching 1A and 2A Schools.

But even in the State Finals games this weekend, the Ref's let to many things go like in College and Pro.

Which, in turn, is why the girls high school games are even better to watch.

Fundamentals.... Fundamentals.... Fundamentals!!!!!!!!
