Kaleb Banks

Maybe it’s lesser competition and less pressure felt
there is something to that...I caught the end of the DePaul game last night. CJ Gunn just looks different on the court (and it's not the haircut). Doesn't seem to have the weight of the world on him now. Gunn, Banks...I think these were always good kids with skills...sometimes the lights are too bright.

It's early, they are both where they belong ImHO. And there is nothing wrong with where they at. Will be cool to follow along and see how they pan out this season.

it's not like IU is the only program where high school stars go to wash out, then continue with respectable careers elsewhere. We'll be fine and so will they. These kids haven't said a bad word about IU (at least as far as I know) so no sense rooting for them to fail. Hope they are all all-conf by their senior years.

I was intrigued by the buzz around Banks after seeing his early-season stats, so I checked out the Tulane game yesterday against Bethune-Cookman. The competition wasn't exactly stiff, but KB looks like a different player (22 pts, 10 reb).

Through 4 games:
17 ppg
9 rpg
1.5 bpg
30 mpg
59% FG
52% 3FG (13-25) Note: In two seasons at IU, he was 7-25

Small Tulane sample size, but damn impressive nonetheless. I didn't think KB would hit 13 3FGs in his collegiate career, let alone in his first four games with a new team. Good for him.
