First of all, an earlier post after the game said: "They ran a bunch of draws." and "it was kinda boring".

Well, there were no draws. IU ran simple inside and outside zone reads and the qb handed off almost exclusively.

Observations:
1. Sudfeld has a big time arm and while not Kaepernick in terms of mobility, certainly isn't Chris Dittoe either.
2. To go with the big time arm, Nate is pretty accurate.
3. For months I've speculated that Herron may see time at RT this yr. I'm sure it was because Evans and Bailey were out with injuries and there was some shuffling for the spring game; but Herron did play a lot of time at RT in that game. (dislocating my shoulder patting myself on the back on that one) ;-)
4. Simmie Cobbs caught the ball several times and I don't remember him dropping one.
Note: I gave Cobbs a lot of grief last yr for the drops (and Harris and Booth) I don't remember them dropping any in the parts I watched.
5. I've put my shoulder back in the socket in time to say I've wondered aloud here if IU will play more 2 TE sets. Maybe for experimentation and for the heck of it. But IU played some double tight end sets. (there goes that shoulder again) ;-)
6. Michael Cooper made a nice play for first down catch.
7.. Darius Latham really looked the part of DL. I don't know if he's an NFL DE, but he sure looked quick footed, and quick handed and athletic as a potential NFL DT in a 4-3. One time he "eluded" Feeney for a sack that was an incredibly adept move.
8. Robert McRay III did some nice things.
9. Some good tackling by the defense.
10. Alex Rodriguez and Brookins looked like they could help. Brookins is quick footed and has good vision. Rodriguez is really tough when he gets his shoulders square to the LOS and to tacklers.

There goes that shoulder again. Danny Cameron moved well, made some nice throws (a couple could have been caught by starters but weren't by backups and walk-ons.)

Zander makes some nice plays with his feet. He threw a couple darts into tight windows and had a couple where I wondered about him. But he was better than I expected. I do like his moxie.
