This is great and he deserves it — knock on wood he stays healthy and keeps it up. I also love what it means for recruiting.

Cig is not only a great coach, but he’s the best evaluator of talent out there. After this season he’ll recruit some needed pieces and reload experience from the portal. IU should be ranked top 5 preseason next year. Nobody should underestimate this program after what happened this season.

If Rourke had a bigger arm, he would be higher. He’ll move up as Mel values production too.

It should mean a solid draft round even if that ends up being where he's picked. Last dozen years the fewest number of QBs drafted was 7 in 2015. In 2022, second lowest, 9 were drafted with Brock Purdy as 9th. Most years there's 11 or 12, high of 15.
