I've been reading up on him......interesting.

Odd that he would leave Butler with Fowler graduating. He would appear to have been in line to start and play 30M or so per game........

He was a borderline top 100 guy coming out of HS with offers from X, Butler, IU, Purdue & MSU. His #s suggest that he's fairly skilled offensively but somewhat challenged athletically....a banger type.

What would you guys think of him splitting time with DD and TJD taking over the 4 spot.....will that work?

PS....reading about him....he seems like a first class guy and someone who would be a great teammate.

We need a tall banger in the big ten. TJD will likely get pushed around alot the first year and DD is probably never going to be healthy enough to give more than 20 mns a game.

From the one time I have seen him the impression I had was that Brunk is an energy guy. He's a scrapper. I'd love to have him at IU.

TJD needs to develop a better mid range or distance game to play the 4. He is more of a pure post. Brunk is probably more worried about grad school programs than the basketball aspect. Butler doesn't offer a ton of different grad school programs. Since he graduated early, that will give him 2 years of scholorship grad school. Its about more than basketball. Would love to have him as someone who can bang with the big guys, even if it's behind TJD and Davis. WSU and most of the B10 showed us the value of having multiple huge guys who can bang and draw attention inside. As long as he doesn't somehow end up at UK (not really Calipari type, anyway), I wish him the best whatever he decides....

One more thing in favor of this.........we all assume he would back up Davis(and TJD) or split time with him.........but there is always the strong possibility that Davis could get re-injured next year. If that happens we're again undersized...........
 
Well, OSU just opened up another spot. I doubt we get him. I'm already over Holtman at OSU.

Hes beat us 4 times in a row. Beat us for Carton. Will probably beat us for Brunk.

I saw somewhere that he is interested in law school. Having been through LS, I would have to say that would be a very difficult proposition. What might make some since would be to get his Masters in Education.

In related news, I see from other sites that IU is interested in Ben Roderick, 6'5" 185 lbs, 2019 recruit, from Powell, OH. He's a late bloomer....had a big 2019 season.....OSU and one or two other D1 majors are also looking at him. He has some impressive highlights on you tube, imo.

I mention this because I don't think I've seen it on here.
 
I have a friend who is really close to someone who is friends with the grounds keeper at the Deputatsky Missile Silo location in northeast Russia. There's a 6'-9'' kid there who wrestles bears and who wants to play basketball in the states. Speaks two languages. Could be a interesting acquisition if we could get him. I noticed a plane leaving Indy headed that direction. CAM? Could be. ;)

Alhambra Fakis 6-9 175. All Egyptian team. Yeah,he wrestled bears but he lost every time.

Yea, I've heard both rumors.. heard the OSU one first and then IU one just recently .

OSU has an opening for a backup post, and he wouldn't start as Wesson is in the same class. He has competition at IU, most likely, depending on who stays or goes and what position TJD plays and could maybe start .. even if in two years.

We'll see is a good view and considering the above we probably have a chance. . He's very good offensively but something kept him from getting more than 20 minutes. From watching him play and seeing his numbers he would be a good addition.
 
Interesting rumor. Based on his advanced numbers in the big East, he'd probably start along side a Davis or be the first big off the bench.

He'd almost definitely start as a senior, unless IU added 2 transcendent freshman.

I'd guess he's sore at Butler's coach over playing time. He posted pretty good efficiency numbers but split time. Just guessing.
