I was just perusing through all of the standings throughout the nation, and noticed that JMU has a record of 6-2. I remember them putting 70 on North Carolina earlier this year. Can you imagine how good they would have been this year had all of those transfers stayed along with the coaching staff? Crazy to think about.

Good sign the current staff left a healthy program. And of course credit to JMU on their replacement hires, that athletic dept is good.
If any of their players want to play Big Ten ball next year… they know who to call. vbg
I'll say this about the JMU AD...hired a great coach in Cignetti...now has a bowl-eligible team two years running...and what appears to be a good hire last year...

I believe they hired the Holy Cross HC, who then brought some of his guys with too.
I bet the folks at JMU didn’t see it that way as a lot of talent was heading to IU last year

Everyone makes a big deal about Cignetti taking 13 players with him from JMU.
But…..did you know that Jeff Fisch took 12 players from his previous school Arizona in the portal? Never seen this mentioned as a big deal.

I just think it is what it is. I can completely understand why those 13 young men followed CCC and his staff to Indiana!
How could anyone (including the current JMU staff) think negatively about the JMU players who followed their coach given the success this IU team is having this year? Obviously, they made a great choice and IU reaped the benefits.
They did win a game.
Vandy swooped in and hired the bball coach. Gets a chance to beat UK 2 to 3 times per year. Hope he does it.
