Jesse Watters asks: “What kind of husband goes grocery shopping with his wife?”

Agreed. Give me a list and I'm done in 45 mins door to door. Go with the wife and it's an afternoon.

We went together for a while after we first got married. Wife was new to the city and was getting a feel for the different places to shop, and we were still in our "hang out together all the time" phase. I got tired of it in a hurry. Soon enough, she was on her own, while I would go on my own to get my personal stash of junk food and lunches and whatever I wanted that she never bought.

She has since made it a sport, traveling all over town to buy specific stuff at specific stores on specific days. If I'm home when she gets back from one of her trips, I get to hear about all the deals she got and bargains she found. She'll even show me the ones she's most proud of.

I can't complain. She does well, buys smart, and doesn't complain about doing it. That latter comes from her thinking I'd fvck it up. She wouldn't even let me shop from her list after she had her knee surgery -- she ordered online and sent me to pick it up.

Damn. You described Mrs hooky. I have to smile and nod as she talks about her big wins.

"They took a store coupon AND a manufacturer coupon for that laundrydetergent? That's amazing!"

Dude! The wife used to do that extreme couponing and was killin it! In a matter of 3-4 months, we had a inventory of so much stuff. Probably $3,000 of goods that she spent maybe $500 on.
Either way, I am not going to miss her.

I went once and have not been asked to go again. It must be my lovely attitude.

I was a BMG thief

Loved BMG CD deals. I'd do one for my apartment address, parents address, dad's office, girlfriend's address, grandparents, etc. I actually bought the required CD's but got like 100+ CD's for the price of 5. Still have most of them.
